Note that this supports the request for the ability to attach a note on a filter reminding one of its origin.
Thanks Martha. Lots of food for thought there....we can now see the fruit of some of the questions you have been asking. [:D]
Hi MJ.
Thanks for this - very helpful.
Answers some of the questions I have been thinking about[:)]

Martha, I was setting up my Eissfeldt Hexateuch Source Visual Filter tonight. I noted in your screen shot on the wiki you used:
<EissfeldtHexateuch =Covenant Code>
which maches what is shown in the syntax filter.
However I found that did not work in the Visual filter instead either of the following worked:
<EissfeldtHexateuch =Covenant value> or <EissfeldtHexateuch =Covenant>
Same applies to Tabernacle Code and Holiness Code.
A thought on creating new highlighting styles.....When it comes to creating custom highlights I find it easiest to fire up Librnoix 3 and create it their first. Reason being it allows you to set colours using RGB values. Logos 4 does not. For example in Logos 4 I could not replicate the Navy used for Lay in Libroinx 3 (simply to try an keep things consistent). However I could set this up in Libronix 3 and the import it into Logos4. The other benefit of working from Libronix 3 to setup new visual filters is that you then have a file that you can share with others, who can also use the import command to get them into L4.
Excellent idea! I hope L4 will soon bring back those features from L3 to make visual filters more flexible and shareable in L4.
Hi MJ,
Could you tell us how you achieved the following highlighting?
Namely the different colours around the text before and after the text to be highlighted?
Thanks
Paul,
I'm not MJ, but you can add text labels in capsules before and after (and even below or above)
The capsules are also useful for creating a highlighting series based on numbers and/or letters for inductive Bible study. (My 2 cents).
Thanks Martha!
In Logos 3, it was easy for users to share their Logos user-created "components" with others because each item was just a file on the file system. Now that in Logos 4 everything resides in a database, we no longer have a way to share.
I think early on in the original L4 beta it was mentioned that eventually L4 would have more social / sharing aspects. I hope that happens soon so we can all benefit more from super-users like Martha, Rosie, LaRosa, and many others.

Thanks Kevin;
great help
Still planned, and still coming. Sorry it's not ready yet!
Thanks Bob! Happy Labor Day to you and to Team Logos!
Thanks. I will make the correction in my template and in the wiki page. I'd forgotten that Id been waylaid when checking it out.
Wow, Bob. I was surprised to see Melissa posting today and thought she was doing extra work on her day off, but then I see that all of Logos is open for business today:
It seems you guys never rest! Thanks for the dedication. I do hope your employees get enough days off, though. Keep up the good work, and don't overdo it! [:)]

You can still create the files in Libronix 3, share them and then users can use the IMPORT HIGHLIGHTING command to bring them into Logos4. Just another reason that keeping Libronix 3 installed is such a good idea.....
