Hi,

Steps to recreate this:

  • Open KJV to Gen 1:1
  • Ctrl+F in KJV Bible Window
  • Enter "covenant"
  • Noticed this case covenant is partially hidden (I recall in another case where word is totally hidden)

PS: I am running 4.1 RC (4.10.4.5111)

PS: Can someone confirm this, thanks.

If you click "v" next, for the next occurance of "covenant" in Gen 9:9, the full word is hidden behind the UI

Yes, this is a problem. I have a vague recollection Rosie mentioned it several months ago, but I can't find the thread now.

I can confirm (with the same release version).

BTW, the issue is not a problem if the locator bar is enabled. The locator bar has one useful function when looking at a Bible (IMHO): you can move by Article, Book, Chapter, Verse, Highlight, or Filter Highlight with the arrows on the right side of the pane (by Article is the default).

I reported this problem in Help and they supposedly fixed it in 4.0c Beta 1, but I can still reproduce it even in Help. I haven't had time to stay on top of all my past bug reports to see if they've actually been fixed or regressed.

Richard,

Thanks for the tip on locator bar. However, real-estate is a premium on a regular laptop LCD, if you have 2 Bibles one on top of the other with reverse interlinear on.  I saved 2 lines Smile

I'm not able to reproduce this behavior, either with locator bar enabled or not, but I have reported the problem to development.

Melissa,

Thanks. Try turning off ALL visual filters, use KJV1900, follow the steps above.

I can reproduce the same problem. I reported this bug 10 months ago on the forum. Since then, the Find command seems to work better than it used to. Most of the time now the text scrolls to expose the highlighted word, but once and a while it will highlight a word that is hidden behind the Find box.
