BUG: Bible Word Study - Bug or Feature?
In version 4.1 SR-3, we received the wonderful ability to add multiple "Translation" sections. However, unless I'm missing something, we also lost a some functionality with the Translation section. Consider two different scenarios for accessing a Bible Word Study.
By Right-Clicking on a Word in an English Translation (e.g., NASB)
If I right-click on a word in an English translation (e.g., NASB, 1995 Update), then choose the lemma of the word from the section on the right of the contextual menu, then choose Bible Word Study from the section on the left of the contextual menu, the result is that the Bible Word Study opens and the Translation section is automatically populated with NASB. This is good.
By Clicking on the Lemma of a Word in the Word by Word Section of an Exegetical Guide
If I have an Exegetical Guide open to the passage I'm studying, then I open the Word by Word section (which is set up to use the NASB NT RI), then in the section for the word I'm interested in studying I click on the lemma of the word (i.e., in the top left of the section, to the left of the pronunciation icon), the result is that the Bible Word Study opens, but the Translation section is blank (i.e., no Bible version is selected; thus no translation wheel is presented). I have to click on the Settings pop-up menu for the Translation section and choose a Bible version. Doing this for every word that I look up from the Exegetical Guide is not good!
BTW: The empty Translation section also occurs if I right-click on a word in NA27 and choose Bible Word Study from the contextual menu.
The empty Translation section is new behavior in 4.1 SR-3. In the previous version, no matter the source from which I invoked the Bible Word Study, the Translation section was always populated with NASB (which is set as my preferred Bible version).
To me this is a bug. Perhaps someone can persuade me that it is a feature?
Regards,
Paul

Paul, I cannot recall if this was ever mention during the 4.1 Beta cycle. I agree with you that this is a bug. The best thing to do is change the thread title to include the word BUG: in the beginning.
Good catch

Bradley,
It was not mentioned specifically, but this bug also exists in 4.2 Beta 1
