BUG? Right column for parallel resources is too narrow
Opening a new tab, I get a long list of suggested parallel resources in the right column. Choosing between them is, however, not that easy: the column is far too narrow for more than a small part of the title to be visible. How do I know, for example, which Cairo Geniza Targumic Fragment is the one I want, should I want one? Yes, I can hover over them, but there's more than a dozen, so that's not exactly a fast method... Several things should be done here:
- The right column should be slightly wider by default,
- It should get wider when the pane is made wider. (At present only the left column gets wider. Even when the left column is empty, all the extra space is given to it, while the cramped right column remains fixed. Very frustrating!)
- Abbreviated titles would be preferable, when such exist. Especially for Bibles and commentary series.

this doesnt seem so much a bug as it does just a part of the software that needs some optimization - which seems like what the dev. team is focusing on right now. all of these sort of things should be given attention and "fixed" in due time. it only takes a few minutes in the forums to get an idea of all of the issues the team is dealing with and trying to fix right now.

Applicable for both PC and Mac versions - "The Swanson New Testament Gre..." is another example whose significant discriminator (e.g. UBS4 or Westcott-Hort) does not fit in current right column width.
Related issue: parallel button All Parallel Resources column width too small for some titles.

1) The work they're doing called "optimization" does not mean fixing little issues like this, it means making the product faster.
2) Reporting issues like this is exactly what we need to keep doing. That's how Logos knows what little issues they need to fix when they fix bugs or attend to feature requests. They do fix bugs and other problems on each release as well as doing some optimization. In fact, optimization tends to get a lower priority than fixing things that don't work quite right.

We're approaching two years, and this still looks just as bad:
+1 [Y] Wish for option to resize parallel resources after clicking "+" for new tab so could read titles on Mac and Windows.

This will be fixed in 5.2 Beta 3.

So, one of my very first bug reports has finally been fixed. Nice.[:)]
However, now that the column can be widened, it would be nice if it also remembered the width, so that I don't have to widen it again every single time I click the + for a new tab.
And it would be nice if you also finally did the same thing for the Prioritize/Info field in Library, and for the upper part of Collections. (There should be cases for both of those.)

I will create a case for remembering the column width in the New Tab panel and resizing the Library prioritization, but since Collections stretches when the panel is widened, there is no need to make it resizable. If it needs to be larger, you can give more space to the panel itself.

You are misunderstanding. I don't want it widened; I want to make the upper part lower, so that I can see more books, or, occasionally, higher, so that I can see all the plus and minus books at the same time. As in SUGGESTION: Adjustable size for the upper section in Collections (I think there are other threads as well).

I will create a case for this suggestion. [:)]

Thank you. There wasn't one? I think I will stop using Suggestions. No one ever seems to read things suggested there.
Did you see the part below the screenshot at the link? Is there a case for that?
