Bug: hiding column in Library forgets the position

If I have moved a column in the library from its default position (like the new "Last Updated" column that I moved to the left), then hide it and unhide it, it reappears at its default location again.

This is really annoying because I'm constantly moving columns that I don't use all the time (i.e., I like to keep some hidden unless I need them).  Can the library be changed to remember column positions when they are hidden?  Changing the order of the column names in the pop-up menu to match the current column order would also be helpful.
