Boice 27 volume commentaries...

Does anybody own Boice's 27 volume commentaries? I came across a great deal, but I'm not sure whether to order it or not. I've read some sample pages at christianbook but I'm still not sure. I don't want to order books (even if they're at a very low price) just for the sake of ordering books. Any input will be greatly appreciated!

I own these commentaries, there are very good. You will not go wrong with Boice.

I have had this set for a while and have to say it is in the top three of expository commentaries on my list. Very well written, he usually addresses areas of theological contention within his commentary. Or should I say collection of sermons, that is what it feels like to me, I usually look to this set if I am having a hard time applying or illustrating a text that I am preaching on. Though it is not a technical commentary, it is a valuable resource.

I have the Boice commentaries, and they are great. Boice is very solid in his exposition of scripture.

You should realize that these commentaries are basicly sermons in which he expounds the scripture. So they are not like scholarly critical commentaries. But they are vvery good and well worth the money.

Anyone care to chime in on Boice's theological stance concerning whether he is Covenant or Dispensational, Free Grace or Lordship, etc...? Depending on his stance, I may look into it.

Boice was a Presbyterian pastor in the PCA. (Conservative, Calvinistic and Covenantal)

Thank you all for your input. I have decided not to purchase them yet. I decided I didn't really want sermon manuscripts (though they are excellent). I'd rather wait and see if Lenski might be on sale later on this year. Thanks, but if you have input on a book I'd like to get, please tell me what you think about it if you own it. The title is:
