Logos 4 Mac 4.0b Beta 3 Release Notes

Use "Set update channel to beta" to get this release, if you have have not already set your update channel to beta.




Presentation Mode

  • The alert for presentation mode is correctly sized.


Resource Display

  • “Float this panel” and “Dock this panel” now have keyboard shortcuts. (Cmd-Option-F and Shift-Cmd-Option-F).
  • Psalm 148:5 in BHS/WIVU when using SBL Hebrew no longer crashes.
  • Contains improved support for Logos 4.1 resources, including SBL Greek New Testament, Lexham English Bible, and RVR 95.


General

  • Tooltips and popups should hide more predictably.


Installer

  • The installer should no longer attempt to start Logos Bible
    Software 4 on Windows for users who are running Parallels as well as
    Logos 4 Mac.


Menus

  • File menu and Layouts menu now filter the list of items as the user types.
  • There is no longer a delete ‘x’ button in the File menu. Deletion
    is now accomplished by right-clicking (or control clicking) and
    selecting “Delete” from the context menu. This should help prevent
    accidental deletion of files.


Collections

  • There is no longer a delete ‘x’ button in the Collections Open
    menu. Deletion is now accomplished by right-clicking (or control
    clicking) and selecting “Delete” from the context menu. This should help
    prevent accidental deletions of collections.


Guides

  • Word by Word verses display progress by changing color of words from gray to black when the data for each word is loaded.
  • Verse sections in the Word by Word guide section stay collapsed
    until the entire verse is loaded. This improves performance when loading
    Word by Word sections on Mac.


Sync

  • User imported Sentence Diagrams on Windows and should no longer
    cause sync errors when synced to Mac. Sentence Diagram display/editing
    support will be made available in a future beta.


Notes

  • New note display placeholder text.


Search

  • Morph search reference builder now includes a button to dismiss the popup and execute the search, similar to Windows.
