Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!
Well, ok. Just in case:
"God will save his fallen angels and their broken wings He'll mend."
Phil Gons (Faithlife): Our team is meeting with their team next week, so we should have some clarity coming out of that meeting.

What's new, Phil?
There's nothing to report at this time. If that changes, we'll let everyone know. Thanks.

All joking aside, sorry you guys didn’t get your wish yet again. I know how much it would’ve meant for you to have CARTA in Logos. But, if it serves as any consolation, keep praying ๐ maybe next time you’ll get your wish. There’s always the A-Team company that has CARTA with better resolution if you decide to finally jump the gun on it. ๐๐๐

Does that mean "We couldn't work out a deal," or "We're still negotiating and don't have an answer yet."
It sounds like no deal was possible, but I don't want to assume that negotiations have concluded without any positive outcome.
This kind of answer only fuels the fire after the comment that Phil made. I don't expect to get notes from the meeting, but something more could surely be added after the long wait and the notification that a specific meeting would be taking place.
1. On a scale of 1-10, how likely is it that customers will see Carta in the next 6 months? year? two years?
2. Will there be further meetings anytime soon?
I already own the Carta products that I want in Accordance, but I would prefer to have them in Logos, all in one place, so I would likely purchase them again. It would just be nice to have some communication, which I would think is something that Faithlife is working to improve. This type of quick non-answer is not an improvement.
Disclaimer: I hate using messaging, texting, and email for real communication. If anything that I type to you seems like anything other than humble and respectful, then I have not done a good job typing my thoughts.
Remember the CW song 'One Piece at a Time' (forgot the title, building a car taking home daily a piece from the factory).
I think each of us could help Logos, but pasting in a short copy of Carta (avoiding copyright rules of course). Like the CW song, it might have issues concerning usability and look awful, but it'd at least run!

I finally started picking up some Carta products from another company, but I feel the pain for those who have been waiting so long for either the products in Logos or better communication from Faithlife about it.
Incredible! I am in shock over the latest response of Logos!
Very disappointed! This might be the push I needed as well, to go to A.

Bill, Bob, and I are meeting next week and hope to arrive at a clearer sense of whether we'll be able to offer Carta products in Logos and what the timeline might look like.
Thank you, Phil. I appreciate the clear update. And here is one more voice expressing hope that you, Bill, and Bob can bring Carta to Logos.
I've never been able to justify personally spending enough on "the other company" in dollars and in time learning a new program to try them out. So I surely hope "let them eat cake woops, I mean A" will not be the answer.
Thank you, Phil. Looking forward to hearing the outcome.

Thank you, Phil! This is what I needed to hear! I'll try holding on! I just needed something more definite than "there is nothing to report at this time." This told me nothing.
So, thank you!!!!

I hope Faithlife is able to negotiate inclusion of these products in it's over-all great selection of resources.
Rick Ausdahl: Logos customers who don't yet have Carta products really would prefer to have them in Logos than have to go to other Bible apps for them. And at least a few who do currently have some of the products in other apps have said they would be willing to re-purchase them for Logos. Most of us can wait patiently when we know what's going on. It's the lack of (and/or simply poor) communication that's harder to abide. I hope Faithlife is able to negotiate inclusion of these products in it's over-all great selection of resources.

Sorry for the cryptic response, Joseph. I'm just not accustomed to sharing details around publisher negotiations. I'm doing all I can to bring Carta materials to Logos. I've been doing this for a long time, and am quite used to the back and forth pace of deal points. It takes time to get things right. And, to protect both parties, I don't think it's helpful to provide the sort of transparency you and others might be used to here from Bob and Phil. For now, all I can say is things are moving forward, but I have absolutely no timeline.
Bill Nienhuis (Faithlife):For now, all I can say is things are moving forward
Bill, I can appreciate the position that you are in....but if you had just let us know that things were "moving forward," that would have helped.
Thanks.
