Bug? Search doesn't find words in MW Dictionary because of syllable separators

Both the full text search and the Ctrl-F search in a window will not find words in the Merriam-Webster Dictionaries (10th and 11th) because of the syllable separators.  It makes me glad I have other dictionaries that do give hits.  Can anything be done about this?  Somehow make the indexer ignore the dot separators?  Put the full word in a footnote?

Granted, keylinking and power lookup do work fine, but I'm not always using those.

If it is repeated in that word's or another word's definition it will be found, however, since the filter in the reference box finds it, as well as the two ways you mentioned, it would make sense for search and find to recognize it, too. I'll submit your request.
