Crash: 4.2a B4

I had just run an entire library search "healing NEAR <Isaiah>" The search on the supplemental index had completed so I expended to results while the main index was still processing. I saw in one of the hits a mention of Isaiah 35. So I went to a copy of the NIV84 which I had open in the other pane and typed in Isa 25 (yes, I know fat fingers). When I realized that I had mis-typed the reference I typed in the box 35.1 and hit enter. Then the program crashed. I do not know if the search had completed by the time this all had happened.

After it crashed Win7 gave me a message that it had applied compatibility settings to the program to attempt to fix the problem.

A crash.txt was not produced.

My Logos 4 crashed with the same search, without crash.txt. It was indexing at the time. I didn't get the message from the Program Compatibility Assistant Service, though, which is enabled in Services on my Win 7 computer. I'll provide both of our logs to development. Thanks.

Edit:  Just realized you didn't provide a Logos4.log, so you may not have had logging enabled. I'll give them mine. I'll let you know if they want to see one from your system, too.

No, the crash happened on my desktop which doesn't have logging enabled. It's enabled on my laptop which I use much more frequently for Logos. If they want a log from me I would be happy to try to reproduce the crash, this time with logging enabled.  [:)]

I had just run an entire library search "healing NEAR <Isaiah>"

This crash will be addressed in an upcoming beta, however, the search will still be rather slow. Because you're searching for references to any verse in Isaiah, a workaround would be to perform a textual search instead:

    healing NEAR (Isaiah, Isa)

Alternatively, choose a smaller verse range (this will make the search faster, but might still crash in Beta 4).

I can see why this would be the case, but I find that searching for a tagged reference gives better results than searching for Isaiah. If someone has taken the time to back up assertions with a scriptural reference the information tends to be better.
