This is new, didn't remember seeing it in the release notes but this is very good!
Awesome! Thank you Logos! That knocks off another of the requested items on UserVoice.

This is another exhibit in a long line showing Logos listens to their users, even when they don't initially see the need for a feature.
Kudos to Logos.

Especially when you already have the resources because my 7.4 MB was able to patch 68 MB of resources! eg.
Info IndexerProgram (Timed) Patching AFHEB10.logos4 with \Beta\Logos4\Data\o1kqeitm.ypj\UpdateManager\Resources\392\2010-10-22T22_22_05Z.lbsevp.
My download just happened - no tooltip, no indication of size.
This may be related to my setting of scheduled updates - which I have set to between 6am and 10am. When I turned my computer on and started Logos it was about 7.30am and the first I saw any indication of a download was when I got the blue icon in the taskbar saying that Logos was preparing my library.
My total download size was about 90Mb.
Does this make sense?
Graham
What resources did you receive?
EDIT: were there any new resources, because these would be full size?
I got the notification because I set Auto Download Updates to NO. The release notes state
"“Automatically Download Updates” must be set to “Yes” to see this feature. The Logos 4 icon will appear when the program becomes aware of an update, with a tooltip that will indicate the scheduled time of the download."
Hi Dave
As far as I can see, they were all updates
1614.Logos4Indexer.log
As far as I can see they were simply moved into the resources area as opposed to used to apply patches.
EDIT: Just checked in my library and all the resources which were downloaded this morning are tagged with two stars which show they were already in my library, hence updates not new files.

and - from my experience - if Logos 4 becomes aware of an update in the scheduled window it just goes straight ahead and does the download, which is reasonable.
It would be interesting to know if the tooltip which appears regarding the scheduled time of the download provides the same information as you get with Auto Download Updates set to No - i.e. it includes information about download size.
yes:
However, there needs to be a right click option of download now, am going to a WIFI hotspot thismorning, I should not need to remove time constraints to override download settings and force it
Thanks DominicM
As far as I can see, this doesn't show the download size. Is that correct?
Sorry Graham, doesnt on mine, I also have it set as auto download

I thought the 90 MB was the size indicated for the download, but as there is no tool tip for the schedule method you were quoting actual size in your library. You would have received them as smaller patches, though. Your log shows the indexing but the previous download log would show the patching.
Sorry about the confusion.
I no longer have the earlier log so can't check it.
Check immediately after the next download!
This wasn't something that I cared about but I do agree...Kudos to Logos for listening!
Much more significant than the notification is the patching of resources. Even though I don't have download caps I really like this development.
