I see posts for other releases but not 4.2aBeta5?  This is, as far as I know, the latest release.  This is what my Mac downloaded automatically.  I'm just wondering how come no one else seems to have this?  Also, I do not see the new NIV2011 in my library.  It did have to re-index last night and that took forever.  I really am holding out hope that Logos will address the lack of smoothness of operation in the program that Mac users are familiar with!  I have invested in the Gold, which is very expensive.

Beta Release notes mentioned need from re-indexing - linked from http://wiki.logos.com/The_Logos_4_Beta_Program and http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Release_Notes_and_History along with forum post => http://community.logos.com/forums/t/28904.aspx

What does "KF" stand for?

Krazy Fun!

Actually nothing.  It's the version of the latest base package update.  You'll need to upgrade to it to get the new NIV. See here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/28219.aspx

(They've been decrementing the first letter and incrementing the second letter for each version: the previous packages were designated  RA, QB, OC, ND, and LE.  They skipped P and M so they wouldn't confuse people with designations like "PC" or "ME".)

It is likely that at some point in the past, you switched to the beta channel for updates (by typing "set update channel to beta"; if you'd like to stop participating in the beta, you can type "set update channel to stable", and Logos 4 will update to the next stable version, when it comes out). There is a separate forum for beta users, which is why you don't see people talking about it in this one.

Smiles,

That seems to be why I didn't get the new NIV.  I am now downloading the KF upgrade.  Thanks!
