Life Application Study Bible

How about making the Life Application Study Bible (notes) available. Some of the notes and the profiles of biblical characters are valuable. I sometimes go back and forth from the theology centered ESV Study Bible notes to the practical focused Life Application Study Bible notes. I'd like to do that on Logos alone.

published this because WordSearch had an exclusive contract for the
retail boxed version of the LAB.

But, a quick search shows that this
product apparently is no longer available as a retail product.

Maybe Logos can now secure the rights
to produce it (I hope)

I don't know if we'll ever see the NIV SB in Logos, but there's the Concordia Self Study Bible which in effect has the NIV SB with some changes in order to reflect the publisher's more Lutheran point of view. In a Faithlife Group we have isolated those changes in Community Notes.

Accordance has had the LAB for years and so has Olivetree (although for a brief time they did get yanked off OT and only recently returned).

Before I switched to Logos I was using a competitors product and had a few resources on it. One of those was the LASB.

This morning I read the passage I was preaching on the competitors iPhone app (The Bible reads better on it) and clicked onto my commentaries. All I can say is that after reading the brief notes from the LASB I now wish I have this in my Logos interface as its such a great resource.

As I was reading Ezekiel this morning, I thought about how nice it would be to see what the Life Application Bible says about the passage. I remembered I had requested Logos to consider getting the Life Application Study Bible notes. I see it will soon be SIX YEARS since I suggested it. I'm somewhat surprised with all the other additions to Logos, they haven't gotten this helpful tool.

I agree with everyone on this post. Where is the LASB? The latest version of the NIV study bible came out but still nothing here. Seems odd to me considering other apps have it such as Olive Tree.

I noticed that the Google Play store has the LASB NLT (Life Application Study Bible New Living Translation) as an app for $19.99. It has Tyndale's new multi-color notes (i.e. the app is updated). Perhaps this is why Logos doesn't have the rights? My daughter and others I know have this bible -- so I need the commentary notes from it (to discuss her readings with her).
