Crash in 4.3 Beta From Opened State
After updating my software this morning I:
- Opened my reading plan and set up my notes
- Went to do my reading
- Had the program crash without trying to do any reading or input of text twice
- All of this happened after my automatic update failed this morning and
- I had manually downloaded the new Beta Release 4.3 and manually overwritten the application
Shall I go back to the last stable version and change my update status from Beta?

AFAIK, You cannot revert from Beta to Stable without reinstalling.
So far, I have not seen any changes, nor have I had any new problems.

After working through this a bit, I find that there is no problem with the crash from the home page, but whenever resources are opened the program crashes after about 2 minutes. Any need for more logging files?

Here's the latest. When I run my reading plan without the Passage Guide, I seem the be able to keep the program running. Even with writing and editing notes.
I hope I'm not barraging you with too much information.

Warren,
It looks like this is a crash that could occur at any point in the app, not related necessarily to a series of user reproducible steps. I'll file a bug.

Thanks Tom.
Just a note, I forget how good you guys are until something goes wrong. Something like the exception proving the rule?
Keep up the good work folks!

Warren: are you on OS X 10.5 or 10.6?
(If you're not sure, you can click on the Apple menu in the upper-left corner of your screen and select "About this Mac")

I just downloaded the latest (10 MB) update and indexed the library again, opened my Reading Plan (with a Passage Guide) and crashed again.
I give up for today. Let me know when there's a fix please. Until then I'll just have to do my daily reading without a Passage Guide.

Do you open to the home page when you open the app or to a specific layout?
Edit: nevermind.

The crash appears to be caused by a Biblical People graph trying to render to an image. I've been able to duplicate the crash, and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.
In the meantime, if you press and hold the command key while opening Logos, you should see an "open blank layout" option in the login window. If you check this and then avoid panels and features that might show Biblical People graphs, you should be fine.
I'll update this thread as I learn more.
