In Version 3, I could press CTRL-R and do a reference search on my library.  Same with CTRL-T for Topic.  Is this available for Logos 4?

No. In L4 CTRL-R starts reading the text outloud. CTRL-T is not implemented, as far as I know.

Topic searches are done as any search in L4. Just click on the search icon (the magnifying glass in the upper left), ensure that you are doing a "Basic" search, search your "Entire Library" (or your custom or Logos-built collections) and type in your topic.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "Reference Search" I never did that in L3. But check out Tools>Cited By. That may do what you're looking for.

Topic is no longer used (you could created a dictionary collection) and search within that

As for reference, the way I have been doing it same as Rich: "Cited By"

John,

are you asking about short cut key commands to particular searches?

You can go to help and type in "shortcut" and get a list of all of the short cuts available.

As far as the searching goes:

the ref search and topic search are no more specifically...but..

The basic search is used for that kind of thing.

If it was me; for topic search i'd make a collection to search such as bible dictionaries or something like that and then only search that.

for reference browsing I'd say that the "cited by" tool that richard mentioned is what you need

Just to expand on earlier answers, use Basic Search and select whatever range you want to search, then:-

1. Topic - type your topic and results should appear in a Topic section + Library search results below.

2. Reference - just type your reference eg. jn 3:1-4 (bible refs are automatically recognised by L4).

If you want equality type <=jn 3:1-4>    the angle brackets are needed!

Dave, I gotta ask, how do you know such things?  It certainly isn't in the in-program help nor in any of the videos.  Do you just try things till you find something that works?  I think I'd be a whole lot happier with Logos 4 if it had some proper documentation.

Most website hosts provide software to backup your site. Check with your host to find out what services and programs they provide.

Much was acquired during the secret beta test, some directly from the developers in lieu of adequate documentation! We have tried to disseminate much of that knowledge in the wiki here http://wiki.logos.com/ .

Some help for Topics and References can be found at http://wiki.logos.com/Search_HELP
