David Ladiges:
If you click the date link in the Latest Post column for the Recent Posts list that should take you to the last post in that thread.

David

Maybe I'm dense, but I don't see this date link you mentioned. The only link I see is the topic name. Sometimes this takes me to the last page, but just as often it takes me to page 1. This thread has already reached 11 pages. Navigation remains the biggest problem in this forum.

On the Home Page under "Recent Posts" where the topic is listed there is a date over to the right.

It appears that the only place that you get this is on the first screen. Even if you click for "more" on the bottom, you don't get the last post.

To be honest, the busier the forums become, the worse this is going to be. I really do hope you guys are tweaking this software! :)

Yes there is a date on the right side, but on my browser, it is not a link. David had said that if you click on the last post link, but I only find a list of last posted dates with no links.

Praise God!

And thanks to you, Bob, as well!

I've been "begging" for a forum interface for several years now, most recently just about 3 months ago.  Everyone kept directing me to RSS feed, which I heartily dislike, due to its requirement for me to add an Outllook interface, or change from Win Explorer to some other browser, etc.  I've got an efficient "groove" that I've used for a couple of decades re communications that works well for me ... and ever since I fussed with Outlook and found it was more of a gateway to virus attacks than all other software I know of, I've stopped installng it (incl Outlook Express).  So, no RSS.  It's gotten somewhat frustrating because many calls or emails that I make to the support group keep yiedling replies of "we don't support usage questions" and "go to the RSS group for an answer".  Each time I get a response like that, I (reasonably patiently) explain that I don't have or want Outlook ... I use Yahoo email for its great spam protection and total portability ... and "would you please offer a forum?"

However, I am an ACTIVE contributor to forums in several venues, and have gotten in the habit of going through most all postings (via email hits) on the ones that hold my interest, sort of like an extended coversation.  I enjoy helping others, I have a lot of creative ideas, and I've got about four decades of programming and testing experience.  I went on the first cruise to Alaska, and had a great time both learning from and interacting with many users as well as Bob and his crew (already knew Morris pretty well).  In fact, I was a one time given a job offer to rep for Logos in the Atlanta area, but scheduling did not work out.  I guess you could say I'm committed to the product, and the company. So, the introduction of this interface is a WELCOME move forward to me ... probably more so than any other single upgrade that Logos has ever provided.

My only regret is that I was not notified of this!  Even after asking so many times.  I just happened to run across the heading option at the top of the page when I was viewing my current Prepub purchase list and trying to cull it back a bit (currently over $1000 ... I've probably spent over $6000 on Libronix stuff over the years - no better "investment"!)

Suggestion - send a brief EMAIL to ALL LIBRONIX USERS that announces the forum!

Just logged in again, and now the last post dates appears as a link. I'm too young to become senile Big Smile

Please go back to the newsgroups. They were easy to read, easy to follow. These forum areas are hard to navigate, take up far too much screen space and are now way as much a pleasure to check as the newsgroups were.

Oh, one more thing. The gray text on light gray background is not good for my older eyes.

Newsgroups painful and buggy as heck with front end readers.

Forums... lovely.

My gripe with the web forum is there is not an easy way to see all the new topics, one has to go to the main page, then click more etc, and those show the ones recently posted to, not the ones recently created.

Bob - My vote is for you to fly us all to Logos World Headquarters once a week for lunch, a personal update by you, Dan and Phil, followed by a time of guaranteed-to-be lively discussion.

That said, while you guys are talking that possibility over, I like the forums just fine, although I still am not sure if I'm taking full advantage of the "benefits" (whatever those might be) over the newsgroups. Maybe a posting on some "how to's" and a few "tips and tricks" would be welcome, here and in the Logos support section.

One huge advantage with the Forum that I have really enjoyed is I don't have to wait to download everything.  When I started looking at the News Groups I had to wait a few hours to download all the past material...then I actually choose to read through most of it...mistake.

I appreciate only following the forums I want to follow.

Keep at it, I have a feeling it is still a work in progress and there is probably more to come.

And, I like Steve's idea.  I would love to be flown up to the headquarters for lunch and a chat.

Would that include those happy Logos users from behind the ocean? Cool
