THIS IS NON SUPPORTED BY LOGOS
ONLY TESTED ON VISTA (I dont think it works on XP, and I dont have Windows 7 to test but believe it should work)
VERY IMPORTANT: IF you dont know what a ADMINISTRATOR COMMAND PROMPT is STOP NOW!!
YOU NEED TO BE HAPPY WITH COMMAND LINE STUFF, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR YOUR L4 WILL BE BROKEN AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REINSTALL
- after install completes indexing restart PC
- open resource folder and make a note of path (Default is:
C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\<RANDOM>\ResourceManager\Resources
- MOVE the resources folder to new location, you need admin rights
- open Administrator command prompt
- type: mklink /J full_L4_dir full_where_they_are_now
- You should get a message saying "Junction Created"
Start Logos4 should not notice any difference
Semi Technical Explaination:
what this does is like the old dos subst command, which I am sure you remember well, it mounts the new location into the place expected for L4, and the program is none the wiser.
AS SAID ITS AT YOUR OWN RISK = if it breaks dont call Logos Support
