I am curious to see how much space on my hard drive my current library is inhabiting.  I plan on getting iPad and I want to make sure I buy model with plenty of capacity for future Logos growth.  Does anyone know how I can find this information out?

Wiki Quick Installation onto Multiple Macs => Copy Logos 4 Resources to Mac OS X section has path to your Resources folder.

Logos support page => System Requirements - Mac has base package sizes.

On an iPad, many (not all) resources can be downloaded for offline use.  Also can choose what resource(s) to make available offline.  Hence, suspect 16 GB model being adequate for most Logos users.  For more apps, books, photos, and videos, having more iPad memory can be useful.

By the way, am reading some rumors about possible iPad update this fall (with higher resolution screen).  Noticing Apple has 3-5 business day backlog of iPad 2 orders => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipad/family/ipad/select

Also, first generation refurbished iPads are still available => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipad

I received a 32 GB refurbished iPad (1) for my birthday and it works great (and I'm sure they got it at a cheaper price than new!)

I am going to respectfully disagree with the smiling one this time. Smile If your ONLY purpose will be Logos, the 16GB model would be adequate. However, I would suggest getting more memory. Even if you don't think you will use the iPad for other things... you will use the iPad for other things. The iPad is great fun as well as a productivity tool. 16GB will severely limit your options.

I would tend to agree. I eventually stumped up for the 64GB model (plus 3G) just because I knew that no matter how much memory you have, it will never be enough.

Concur 16 GB allows less to be on iPad; have had 16 GB and 32 GB models.  After having much more on 32 GB model, looked at what was being used and removed couple hundred free apps.  With Logos videos (reduced size by processing with Handbrake), Logos library with chosen resources downloaded for offline use, and few more often used applications (including Kindle and Nook with books not available in Logos), my memory usage is under 13 GB.

By the way, Logos videos => Learn to Use Biblical Greek and Hebrew with Logos Bible Software is my primary space consumer (at 33 % smaller is apps, with music, photos, and other stuff much smaller, including favorite game: Harbor Master).
