Suggestion: Community Pricing Closure Bidding

Once Community Pricing has enough bids for a closure date, wish range of bid amounts would change so highest closing amount moves right, with smaller increments (with minimum $ 1 for bid increments).
Looking at CP: The Complete Works of Andrew Fuller (3 vols.) ENDS SOON noticed bidding closed at $ 25 that needed 25 % more community bids to reduce price to $ 20 for all bidders.
Appears The Works of George Swinnock (5 vols.) has similar price range as Andrew Fuller ($ 5 increments). If initial closing is $ 40; dreaming of scale change where $ 40 becomes highest number, with 16 increments below: rounding down $ 2.5 to $ 2 (divide highest closing by 16), closure range would become $ 8 to $ 40 with $ 2 increments. Community bidding of $ 40 by 5.3 % more Logos users would reduce price to $ 38 (vis 14.3 % more bids currently needed to reduce price from $ 40 to $ 35). If divide highest closing by 16 and round up, bid increment becomes $ 3 so range changes from $ 1 to $ 49 (with 8.1 % increase in bidding needed to reduce price from $ 40 to $ 37).
For Andrew Fuller, if closure range had changed, bid increment could have been $ 1 so range of $ 9 to $ 25 would have allowed 4.2 % increase in bidding to reduce price from $ 25 to $ 24 (with 4.4 % more bidding reducing price from $ 24 to $ 23). To reduce price from $ 25 to $ 20 still needs 25 % increase in community bidding.
For Dictionary of the Apostolic Church (2 vols.) closure range could be $ 1 to $ 17 (with minimum increment of $ 1).
Keep Smiling

I agree with all this, but would add that the closing window should always allow at least a week to allow those who are not always on the forums a greater chance to see the last chance items. Maybe people should bid earlier, but regular CP users know that's often not the way it happens. An extension wouldn't delay the final product release and would probably make the product cheaper in many cases.

Initially I was thinking that the change should happen after the closure of bids has been announced, but the bidding window could probably be recalculated after 60% - 70% has been reached for virtually all current Community Pricing titles. The peak is clear and it is unlikely that there will be many higher bids.
The only problem would be that the titles would no longer appear to be such great bargains, as the peaks would be at the higher end of the visible window. Delaying long enough should mean that even this should not be a problem.

I've just added two related requests to User Voice. If you agree that increments should be reduced for Community Pricing, please vote here: http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-5/suggestions/3509087-please-reduce-the-increments-for-community-pricing
If you think minimum closure time for Community Pricing should be at least 1 week, please vote here: http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-5/suggestions/3509078-extend-minimum-community-pricing-closure-time-to-a
Thanks.
