Copy Bible Verses appears not to work well

Logos Bible Software 4.3 Beta 13 (4.30.0.1437)

I'm researching a topic and want to paste a number of verses into an external program. Here's the reference list:

2 Cor 4:16; Rom 7:22; Mt 26:41; 3 Jn 2; Mt
10:28; 2 Pet 1:13; Dan 7:15; Mt 27:52; Lk 8:52-56; Ps 42:6; Zech 12:1; 1
Cor 2:11; Num 16:22: Lk 16:19-31; Mt 17:1-5; 1 Sam 28:1-20; 1 Sam
28:19; Gen 25:17; Eccl 12:7; Isa. 14:9-11; Ps 90:10-12; Rev 6:9-11; Lik
20:37-38; Job 19:26; Phil 1:22; 2 Cor 5:6-8; 2 Cor 12:3; 1 Th 5:10; Acts
2:27-31; Isa 14:9-11; 1 Sam 28:1-20; Luke 16:19-31; Rev 6:9-11; Rev
6:9-11

I pasted this list exactly as you see it into the "Copy
Bible Verses" tool. After pasting and clicking on the right arrow,
Logos deleted my list and replaced it with the location my active Bible pane is on even though I have the "Copy Bible Verses" "Link Set " set to "none".

I pasted the exact same list into biblegateway and it gave me the text of the verses, though not in a useful form.

Logos 3 would have shown me my mistake instead of rudely deleting my list.

I then put the verse list into a new Passage List, which did take the list (but ignored the misspelled reference). However when I exported the passage list to the clipboard and passed it in another program, the references were placed in paragraphs separate from their Bible text, so I had to paste all the passages into a basic text editor and delete all the extra paragraph marks in order to combine the references with their text to get what what the "Copy Bible Verses" would have given me if it worked better.

When I posted this, I noticed that one of the references was "Lik" instead of "Lk". I fixed this error and pasted the reference list into the "Copy Bible Verses" input box. This time Logos did not delete my list immediately. When I clicked on the right arrow in the input box, the arrow went away and after a very long time, Logos then deleted my list.

Furthermore, a few days ago I was reading through my Bible in Logos and decided I wanted to build a list of reference of selected verses from my reading so I could copy the references and their text to another program when I was done. I tried using the "Copy Bible Verses" by having it open, (set the "Link Set" to none) and as I scrolled through my open Bible, I tried adding the references into the "Copy Bible Verses" (CBV) reference box, thereby intending to build a list of references as I went. This didn't work. Whenever I scrolled my active Bible pane, the "CBV" reference box insisted on following my Bible, replacing my list (which only had two items) with the active Bible's current location even though the "Link Set" was set to "none".

I gave up an built my list in an external program. My list ended up being rather short, so when I copied it to the CBV, it seemed to work.

Have a great day,
jmac

    Hi Jim,

    It seems that L4 stops when it sees references in which it cannot recognize. You have a few typos in your list

    1. a colon instead of a simicolon
    2. a period after Isa
    3. Lik instead of Luk

    Your list as copied from Post

    2 Cor 4:16;
    Rom 7:22; Mt 26:41; 3 Jn 2; Mt 10:28; 2 Pet 1:13; Dan 7:15; Mt 27:52; Lk 8:52-56; Ps 42:6; Zech 12:1; 1 Cor 2:11; Num 16:22: Lk 16:19-31; Mt 17:1-5; 1 Sam 28:1-20; 1 Sam 28:19; Gen 25:17; Eccl 12:7; Isa. 14:9-11; Ps 90:10-12; Rev 6:9-11; Lik 20:37-38; Job 19:26; Phil 1:22; 2 Cor 5:6-8; 2 Cor 12:3; 1 Th 5:10; Acts 2:27-31; Isa 14:9-11; 1 Sam 28:1-20; Luke 16:19-31; Rev 6:9-11; Rev 6:9-11

    With typo’s fixed (works for me in CBV)

    2 Cor 4:16;
    Rom 7:22; Mt 26:41; 3 Jn 2; Mt 10:28; 2 Pet 1:13; Dan 7:15; Mt 27:52; Lk 8:52-56; Ps 42:6; Zech 12:1; 1 Cor 2:11; Num 16:22; Lk 16:19-31; Mt 17:1-5; 1 Sam 28:1-20; 1 Sam 28:19; Gen 25:17; Eccl 12:7; Isa 14:9-11; Ps 90:10-12; Rev 6:9-11; Luk 20:37-38; Job 19:26; Phil 1:22; 2 Cor 5:6-8; 2 Cor 12:3; 1 Th 5:10; Acts 2:27-31; Isa 14:9-11; 1 Sam 28:1-20; Luke 16:19-31; Rev 6:9-11; Rev 6:9-11

    I tried it with just fixing issues 1 & 3, and it worked.  Periods are generally accepted by Logos in book name abbreviations, and the one after the Isa wasn't a problem.

    That is strange.  I was unable to replicate that behavior.  My CBV window didn't change when I had it set to None, and scrolled my Bible window.
