from this thread http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34751.aspx it seems that Logos used to sell the resource (as well as the shortened version) not very long ago, but now there is only the (expensive) bundle http://www.logos.com/product/8183/zondervan-old-and-new-testament-introductions

Can't believe Logos takes such a resource out of their catalog (and in time for semester start as well!) unless "asked" to do so by Zondervan... (incidential remark: this publishers name sounds a lot like sonderbar, the German word for weird)

This looks like a Logos Newswire - the question is if it's a recent one... (mine from four days ago doesn't have this). Well, maybe they get it back to the site, sometimes things vanish and reappear, like Lapide's commentary last week.

Newswires have 'Newswire' across the top, this has sale .... I just did not post the whole thing.

It looks like a web page to me. I actually received the email at 12:47 local, which would about 5 a.m. Bellingham time.

    D. A. Carson and Douglas J. Moo’s Introduction to the New Testament is one of the key texts on the New Testament written by two well-known evangelical scholars. For more than a decade, this award-winning book has remained one of the top introductory volumes to the New Testament and its world.

An Introduction to the New Testament focuses on "special introduction"—that is, historical questions dealing with authorship, date, sources, purpose, destination, and so forth. This approach stands in contrast to recent texts that concentrate more on literary form, rhetorical criticism, and historical parallels—topics the authors don’t minimize, but instead think are better given extended treatment in exegesis courses.

". . . Highly recommended. With its very careful, keenly nuanced, and extensively researched discussions, it may well be considered special in a way not originally intended by its authors. It deserves to be read not just by students but by all scholars of the New Testament."
    Review of Biblical Literature

By refocusing on the essentials, An Introduction to the New Testament ensures that the New Testament books will be accurately understood within historical settings. For each New Testament document, the authors also provide a substantial summary of that book’s content, discuss the book’s theological contribution to the overall canon, and give an account of current studies on that book, including recent literary and social-science approaches to interpretation. This second edition reflects significant revision and expansion from the original, making this highly acclaimed text even more valuable.

    Key Features

    • Written by two leading New Testament scholars, D. A. Carson and Douglas J. Moo
    • Examine authorship, date, sources, and other contextual matters for each book of the New Testament
    • Summarize each book’s role in the overall New Testament canon
    • Provide a historical survey examining Bible study in church history
    • The chapter on Paul includes an analysis of the New Perspective
    • A new chapter on the New Testament epistles has been added in this edition

Martin, you should call Logos.  Maybe someone at Logos has broken the product page.

We're sorry for this error. We had to take down this product page due to a licensing restriction.

This book is still available in the Zondervan Old and New Testament Introductions (9 vols.) and the Zondervan Bible Reference Bundle 2 (47 vols.).

In this situation I would have liked to be wrong, though.

No problems Kent ... there have been other such instances where products have only been available for a short period, if at all. This is a pain when trying to look back at the details of some purchases but not a major issue.

Might I suggest that the page not be removed but replaced with a message along the lines that the product in no longer available due to licensing restrictions, and, as in this case, which bundles it is available in.

The current process leaves it looking like a broken website or some other Logos derived mistake; let alone losing the opportunity to point us in the direction of another product (most unlike Logos!)

    Regards

    Martin.

Actually right now it looks like this and gives all information for acquiring the resource in the bundles:
