I downloaded a number of works in the Perseus collection, but I don't seem to have received the Greek and Latin collection. Has anyone received that yet?
I ordered all 7 free Perseus bundles on August 13, which I think was pretty early, but I have yet to receive a single thing.
still downloading ... we'll see how far into indexing I have to be to answer your question.
I ordered Aug 12 (but then deleted the civil war stuff this week). I haven't seen anything yet
When did it first become available? (I first learned of it on August 13.) I.e., what date is first in line?
August 12
Eric ... as noted above they opened Perseus on the 12th. If I remember right, it was about 1:45pm AZ time; I 'caught it' about 2:15 or so. But even before that, Dan had sent a message that they already had 300+. So, it actually depends more on the time, much less the day. I'm guessing I'd be may 500 or so judging from the interest that afternoon (nothing yet).
Overall, Perseus has 1.07 GB to download for all pre-pub items (1,743 resources). Perseus has 649 Greek resources and 50 Latin resources with Logos Greek Morphology tagging. Perseus includes 825 English, 654 Greek, and 264 Latin resources.
Wiki => Example Collections now has Perseus examples.
Keep Smiling [:)]
I ordered all 7 collections during the first 15 minutes. % of those collections now show in my order history and the other two still say "Ships Today"
My question is: Should I wait until all seven show as "shipped" before I open Logos 4? I am afraid if I start downloading now, I will suffer through two indexings. Are my fears unfounded?
I had ordered this pretty early as well on August 12th but havent received anything and they all say ships today. Hmm been trying since early this morning. Hope I'm not passed up...

I got 6 of 7 and indexed.
I have not received anything as of yet. Then again I order the collection on Aug 19. I guess that I still have days to wait. The website state that it is going to take weeks for everyone to download who pre-ordered the collections.
I ordered within the first half hour, and I've still only got one, so don't expect anything soon unless you ordered very early. Dan's twittered that they estimate 3 weeks to ship all. Also, you'll get the normal e-mail and it will move from Open Pre-Pub Orders to Order History when it's processed, so there's no meaning in restarting Logos or typing Update now before that happens.
Why, thank you fgh! Watching my orders page is much easier.
I ordered on the 17 and then did the samething yesterday by deleting the civil war and a couple others. Nothing yet.
Well, left the computer on all night and logos running, awoke this morning and nothing changed but the status "Shippes Yesterday"
I've received everything except the Greek and Latin (classical) materials. I note that at the top of the orders page there is a notice that the phones are open today from 8 am until 4 pm PDT. It could be that they are going to ship some more today.
Thank you George, I think I will try and give them a call. Shucks looks like I was one of the first groups that ordered. And shucks, I have never been a great participant in the ole cliche "For all good things come in time"... [:D]
Ships Yesterday only means that they started shipping yesterday. They've said it will take approximately 3 weeks for everyone to get it, so be prepared to see that line for a long time. And as long as you see it, your copy is not ready to download. When it is, you will get an e-mail, and that line will have moved down to Order History.
Also, they don't ship one user at a time; they ship each collection in its own order, so if you've ordered multiple collections, be prepared to receive them on separate days.
I think I will try and give them a call.
Don't bother. It could take up to three weeks for some users to get theirs. All you will do by calling is waste time (yours and theirs) and tie up the phone lines.
Thank you FGH. Seems as if the Sales and upgrade department is working but noone else. Did ask though about the delay and they stated it will be shipping through the weekend hopefully by Monday. Its taking a bit longer than expected. From the Sales Crew...
Did ask though about the delay
There is no 'delay'. At least not yet. They've said from the start it will take several weeks. If they're not finished by November 1st, then we can start talking about delays.
Thanks FGH, just was wondering since I had ordered too on the 12th and it was morning (MST) when I had ordered and I see some getting many books but 2 and like yourself even received one but I havent received anything...
I received what should be the final installment, but I thought it was to contain Latin works as well as the Greek. What is the experience of anyone who has likewise received all installments? I wrote to Logos asking about this.

Hi, George!
*smile*
I got a "whole slough" of Lation resources. I've only received the Perseus Classics Collection download up to now; and they were in that download.
>>>>>>>>>>>> 2 Thessalonians 3.16 <<<<<<<<<<<<
509.9 MB is downloading. Not everythiing, but its a start. I ordered everything.
Thanks Logos.
Well received this mornings which was 500+ MB which seems to be half of the size that the others that received all of them were and downloaded without flaw a little slower hehe Im sure many were getting it then as well, and about an hour or so to index. Works swift. Hehe, I believe they decided to break it up for 2 reasons. 1) to allow more control of bandwith and 2) to save those with slower computers the lag time with indexing. Shucks I was only about 3 hours into the ordering on the 12th of August when we received a notice prior to it open online and ordered all by 11 am. Not sure, but suposing they will send the others as the next group and cannot wait to look at the civil war info many are talking about.
Mine came in at 4pm EST, Perseus Classic. 500MB download. Installed, indexed and running great. Thanks Logos. 1 down 6 to go. But at least I got the one I wanted the most first.
Kevin, we are both happy campers.
I got the classics collection today as well. I guess they decided to push that out first to everyone so we would stop whining!
Now the indexing begins[:S]
For me the classics collection was the last collection received. I'm now downloading something unknown. Perhaps it's the Latin material.
6 of 7 sets downloaded (509 MB); indexing now...
So, for the rest of us who continue to wait for even a hint of a download, could you who have received it, share with us when you pre-ordered?
I pre-ordered early on Aug 13th (less than 24 hours after announcement.)

Ordered on August 12. When I did, Dan had tweeted that already 300 had placed their order. Just got the first download last night.
I ordered on Wednesday night...as in Wednesday September 28th. It might be a while for me, but I'm really excited for the classics, and what it will do for Greek word studies.

Ordered on the 12th - 7:00 p.m. EST

Yes indeed sir!! Loving the classics.
Rusty, I ordered in the early morning hours of 8/13 and got mine yesterday evening. Shouldn't be long for you I hope.
I ordered all of them, but haven't received any yet. My orders says they shipped on Sept. 30; but nothing has arrived...still waiting.
Lonnie
I had ordered on the 12th of August at 11 am and only received the one Classic Download. Still waiting for the rest. So, it doesnt look like they are going in the order as we had ordered them. Nor by Alphabetical order. Wonder how they are fulfilling the orders?
I ordered even before it was announced. I was watching the pre-pub page like a hawk.
Placing a list on a dart board then throwing darts (blindfolded). [:D] I think I have everything now (Knock, knock -- ouch! My head may be wood, but it still hurts). The only problem I have is that I'm going to have trouble organizing such a large download of books all at once.
Logos keeps their word so I believe that people are entering the queue in the order in which the orders were received. However, I would guess that after the first set downloads you are put back in the queue at "the next available position" As different individuals have different download rates, when later sets would become more and more unpredictable ("random"). I would also expect that the individuals upgrading their base packages and buying new resources are pushed ahead of those waiting for more Perseus.
Received mine yesterday.
could you who have received it, share with us when you pre-ordered?
I am guessing there are a lot of factors involved in the whole process. I got my order in immediately after it posted on the Pre-Pub page. I placed my wife's order immediately after I got mine in. [:D] My internet download speeds are usually blazing fast. The Perseus downloads are noticeably slower. I'm inclined to think there is a data transfer speed cap being imposed on the server end.
I finally got my downloads completed last night. My wife has just received the second download today. I recall Dan Pritchett say (on Twitter, I think) there were over three hundred orders placed for Perseus in the first half-hour. I'm sure the order rate slowed down as time went on but the first day or two would amount to a huge backlog of files to be delivered.
I am glad we were not asked to pay for even the electronic delivery of these resources. Logos has been very generous regarding these Perseus titles.

Amen !
This is a VERY generous thing that Logos is doing. They have always been great to talk to and work with about anything. That is one reason I have been a Libronix/Logos user for over 10 years now.
I am excited about the Perseus Collections and look forward to when I finally arrive in the queue! (Cannot be fast enough, but am satisfied with Logos and use it almost every day!)
WoW, things are moving along now. My wife's account got the Civil War stuff this afternoon. It was a rather large chunk of data (due to Brady's photographs?) yet it downloaded quickly.
I originally thought it would save time to wait on everything to become available before downloading any of it; then have it all index in one fell swoop. I now believe the downloads are somehow triggered sequentially. In other words, begin your download as soon as you have something new available. Once that has downloaded, you're placed back in the cue for the next download.
However the process really works, it is beneficial to all involved to be quick about getting our own turn processed so those waiting can get their turn quicker. [C]
~ this is all conjecture on my part. [:P] I just love posting disclaimers.
I have ordered all of the collections. When I went to update it said I had 500+ mb to download. It downloaded Socrates in Greek and then indexed and said I had a little less mb to download. I downloaded and it gave me Socrates in English and indexed. Now I can't get it to show anything else to download. Surely those two books are 500+ mb.
It just said I had 556 mb in updates to download. I clicked download. 5 seconds later it told me it had downloaded and started indexing. This time I received minor works (greek) and that's it. Isn't this supposed to download a whole collection at a time not one book?
