need help identifying marks

Can someone please tell me what the very small horizontal dashes are  on the right had side of the bible box.   The dashes are 1 dash; or 2 dashes on top of each other' or 3 dashes on top of each other.

    Are they in the scrollbar? They are position markers, showing you other places in the resource that you have stopped to read. Click on one, and it will jump you to that location.

    Its a bit obscure if you don't know what they are called.
