My pastor has a Mac at his office, and a PC at home.  He just bought logos for his Mac, and is wanting to install it on his home PC.  Is that possible?

Yes. There are some differences between the two (the PC version has more features), but they will work together just fine. He will just need to download the L4 Engine for PC, enter his account info, and his resources will automatically download. There is more information in THE WIKI.

Yes; personally Thankful that Logos 4 sync does work between Mac and PC (used many, many times in both directions).  After some sync surprises between Mac and PC, have learned to close Logos 4 on computer not in use.  Named layouts do sync, however snapshot layouts are local to one installation.

Wiki has => Mac and PC User Interface Differences and => Getting Started with Logos

License note: Logos licenses resources to an individual for use on whatever device(s) individual uses (including mobile devices).  Logos software is free; Logos 4 on Mac and PC have more features than mobile apps.

Wyn,

Just in case your pastor is an adventurous one :-) , just make sure that his logos account is not used for running the current beta version, he might experience some sync issues.

Mixing stable and beta Logos 4 versions can have sync issues.  Logos 4.5 Beta 1 announcement => 4.5 Beta 1 (v4.50.0.1142) shipping this afternoon included:

Melissa Snyder:

Changes in 4.5 Beta 1 will also not be synched to Logos 4.3 or earlier versions.

Wiki => Logos 4 Beta Program includes:

Is it safe to join the beta program? If you rely on Logos4 for sermon preparation or Sunday School class, then you should make sure you have a Stable version installed on another user account or another computer. That way if you have a non-recoverable crash, or an important feature just won’t work, you’ll still be able to teach on Sunday! There is also a risk that a Beta version will corrupt your documents (such as notes, collections, favorites, shortcuts, etc.), and that this corruption could sync to your Stable version. It’s therefore wise to back up your documents (especially if you have lots of notes) before installing any Beta version.
