I tried looking for this information on the previous posts, but if it is there, I could not find it.

I just received my Vol 11 of the TJL (Galaxie Software).

How is this installed in Logos 4?

Thanks,

jch

Install in 3.0.  Synchronize Licenses in 3.0.  4.0 wil catch it and DL it and install over the internet when you start up sometime in the next day or so.  If it didn't catch it right at start up, type update now on the command bar, and it should catch it.

Be aware that your system may need to re-index itself to integrate the new resources.  This has caught some people by surprise.

This brings up an important question.  I often purchase Logos books from outside publishers (often from Rejoice Christian Software, for example).  Does this mean I need to keep L3 installed indefinitely, or will there be a way to handle these book licenses (often on CDs) within Logos 4?  I wonder whether there is a plan for other publishers to provide on-line sales directly into L4 aside from logos.com...

there is a post here somewhere; it says that v4 will suck your purchases right off a CD or DVD and no V3 required!

Adam Cinzio:

Looking at wiki => Logos 4 Commands noticed scan command variations for Mac (scan optical media) and Windows (scan DVD).

In Windows, need to insert CD before using scan DVD command, which becomes a scan path command (e.g. D: drive has CD inserted):

After scan command chosen, need to restart Logos 4 for resources to be scanned.  Also, wiki has => Adding New Resources to Logos 4

By the way, replying to old threads is typically not needed (noticed reply on 13 Apr 2012 to a thread with previous reply on 8 Nov 2009)

I am curious how this plays out, since HQ has posted that they are no longer creating L3 resources, or updating the current ones to L4 format.

Does the purchases outside of Logos get the same attention? It would be nice if’n they [HQ-book developer] would address this…………

Opening Libronix 3.0g showed an alert from HQ:

Hence, anticipating Logos 4 scan command to continue working, which includes copying Libronix resource file(s) from CD that have not been updated for Logos 4 for use in Logos 4.

Thanks KS4J, I did/do not see this since I did not load L3 on these two new laptops. The only thing lacking from L3 is some PBB' and a few other small things which at the moment are not a priority.........So HQ has implemented a note....Good for them.....

Thanks.
