I think you should still be able to enter text (I can, at least,) you just won't be able to see more than about half a character at once. Which is obviously a problem. I'll report that right away. Thanks for pointing it out.

to confirm, I can enter text, but cannot see it even after finishing with the creation of that node.
On a related(?) note, once I created a word node, then an OR node, then another word node, then went back to click on the first word node and the window crashed. Repeated many times and there is an artifact of an untitled previous search. In general, the window crashes consistently when working in the window before running a search.

Using Logos 4.5 Beta 10 on Snow Leopard (10.6.8), can replicate:
While typing, text box does not expand. However, collapsing, then expanding section causes text box size to change.
Likewise learned adjusting Font Slider can be a bit challenging to read since some stuff disappears:

Thank you, I've written up a case for this sent it to our Development department.

Appears bug has morphed in Logos 4.5 Beta 11, the text entry box is wider, however typing in text does not appear when 'Show Details" is enabled.
Also, creating a new syntax search, then type text for a word (e.g. logos), then add another item. When return to word, text is missing.
By the way, increasing font still has appearance issue.
Edit: looks like font scaling improvements for Collections needs to be propagated to Syntax Search.
