What is the best way to compile information about book/ commentary authors?

I want to create a searchable and editable resource in L4 to contain entries on Authors of theological (mostly) works. The purpose for it is reviewing their background, theological leanings, what "camp" they are in, etc. What is the best venue for it: notes, clippings, PB, something else?

As of right now I am leaning against PB and it's manual tagging. It has to be easy to add an entry, or it is not going to be done. Ideally it has to be done in under a minute.

Observation: Personal Book can have a Table, which could be used for categorization comparisons or parallels:

After copying chart from a Logos resource (similar to Clippings), personally added hyperlinks to Bible verses for Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament since PB pop-up shows two Bibles (hyperlink is logosres:ldgnt;ref=BibleNA27.Co3.12-16 ):

For Clippings and Notes, could clip (or copy) sample from Author, then add your Notes. Perhaps use several Clippings or Notes to group Authors by "camp", etc.

Another Logos option is creating collections to group Theological resources.

Searchable means PB because the other choices don't allow positioning and highlighting of the word/phrase.

The docx file consists of a Word Table as you see it above because there is no tagging of entries. Easily add more rows as you go.

I was not thinking about tables and neat sort-able database, but instead a short biographical excerpt (copy/paste from Logos, web, other sources) that can have data about their education, positions, etc. So basically, I wanted to have a few paragraphs of text. Pulling data into a table would be too much additional and unnecessary (for my needs) work. I would not use it to "group" authors, but simply refresh my memory about one individual that I am reading.

Clippings would be ideal for this, but L4 currently does not allow creating "blank" clippings. There are workarounds, though

I would say notes might be your best option, if you are note going to use PB. Of course you could create the notes, but if you wanted to create a PB at a later date you could copy/paste or export notes into Word and create a PB then.

It wasn't attached because it is no different to the compiled PB!

A Table with a single column and one row per Author would be easy to manage. Or just use paragraphs. It is much easier than "managing" Clippings and Notes!
