Camp Logos 2 Live for Mac Issue
The video explains how to create a bibliography in collections and export to Word. The entries are hyper-linked and when you click on a book in the Word document, it is supposed to load the book into Logos 4. However, it just gives an error and says the file can not be loaded into Word? The link contains a localhost reference. What am I doing wrong? How do I get Word and Logos 4 to work together like the video shows?

Michael,
Is this the Windows version you're using on a Mac? The product page says the Mac version is still on backorder.

I definitely have the Mac version according to the container and the separate DVD markings. It was delayed a couple of weeks, but I had ordered it on Prepub. It was released and charged on 1/16, but I received it yesterday, 1/30.

good to hear!
I'm curious to know if linking to Word is fully functional on the Mac. I seem to remember a lack of functionality some months ago. Anyone else know?

This is what the hyperlink looks like on Word:
file://localhost/logosres/antdexpprch
What's really interesting is that when I pasted the link above on this comment and clicked on it, it loaded the resource into Logos4. But in Word it gives the error ' "Can not open the specified file. Microsoft Word"

this thread from last year shows the same results
Rosie, didn't you work on these things once upon a time? Maybe you could shed some light for us?
KS4J, does this come up on the Wiki feature parity wish list, or is there something we are missing?

Microsoft Word 2011 on Mac automatically converts logosres:#### URL's to file://localhost/logosres/#### while Word 2010 on Windows keeps logosres:#### URL's.
Exporting collection to RTF allows file to be opened by LibreOffice that keeps logosres:#### URL's, but does not allow their direct use. However, can save file as docx, then build a Personal Book with working links to Logos resources. Also can copy hyperlink location in LibreOffice, switch to Safari, paste location, which opens resource in Logos 4 Mac.

I guess the workaround is still possible by editing the links?

Not an option using Word 2011 on Mac that automatically replaces logosres:#### URL's to file://localhost/logosres/####

With the information everyone provided, here is the solution that I used:
Store the Word file as a .rtf and then open it with the Mac textedit. The file can then be put on the command bar of Logos. When you click on that it will load the file in textedit outside of Logos4. When you click on one of the book links, it loads the book into Logos4. And the file can be edited and still work.
I also converted the .rtf to a pdf and this worked, but acrobat asked each time if it was ok to load it to Logos 4.

I just looked at that page, and I believe the Home Page Customization was fixed in 4.5.
Also, I just realized there doesn't seem to be anything there about one of the few advantages we have on Mac: the spell-check in the OS that works in Logos as well.
