I can't figure out how to enter our CCLI number for display on all of the songs we do? I found where we can link to CCLI/SongSelect but we don't subscribe to SongSelect. We just subscribe to the Church Copyright License. When I enter our username and password for CCLI under link accounts in Proclaim I get this message:

Your account is valid, but is not associated with an organization or your organization(s) does not have access to SongSelect.

We do not have SongSelect, but we do have a CCLI number. So again, how do I enter our number so that it properly displays with all songs? From what I understand, we are required to display our number with each song we use but I'm hoping that it does not have to be entered with every single song we put into the system.

I agree. Before signing up for SongSelect this was a frustration for us as well. Please consider allowing churches to enter a CCLI number into the settings somewhere that will auto-populate the CCLI field when creating a new song.

I'll create a case for this. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Scott

Has this been addressed?

I was trying to do this earlier and couldn't find a way of doing it.

Thanks, Graham

Graham, this hasn't been addressed yet. We're planning to ship an update on Monday, I'll see if I can squeak this in. Thanks for the reminder.

Graham, we made a change in the last update to use the last set license value for all new songs. Is this not what you’re seeing?

Indeed it is - sorry I had missed that.

Thanks, Scott, that will be really helpful, Graham

Hi Scott

Having noted the change I mentioned it to the person who sets up Proclaim each week - and she told me that it didn't actually insert the CCLI details.

So I checked again and it isn't doing it any more!

Has this rolled back in some way or am I just missing something?

Thanks, Graham

I dont think it regressed. But song select is a per user setting. So maybe the other user doesn’t have the ccli song select account linked?

We don’t subscribe to Song Select. My understanding was that this change didn’t rely on that

And it no longer works for me either

The change is a user setting and does not depend on a SongSelect subscription.

The change is to remember the last set "Licensed by CCLI" value

If you uncheck it and create a new song the new song should have the value unset. The opposite is also true. This change does not apply to reusing songs from the My Songs section of the song entry helper.

I'll have our tester run through this feature on Monday and make sure all is as we expect.

This is key and what I had missed.

I had realised it related to new songs but had missed that importing a batch of songs (we imported them from OpenLP) meant that this setting wouldn't apply the first time we used one of these imported songs.

I can see from the application point of view this is reuse even if we are using them for the first time in Proclaim.

Is there any way of extending this capability to this scenario?

Thanks, Graham

Graham, we may need to introduce a different type of global preference for this type of property, I can see how the current behavior is lacking.

If you like I can do a bulk update of all your imported songs, setting the license number to the currently stored default value. Let me know if you are interested and I'll coordinate further via email.

That could be very useful. Let me check with the person who is normally putting the services together and I'll post back

Appreciated, Graham

Hi Scott

I have checked and confirmed this would be really useful.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Thanks, Graham

It seems to me like a CCLI license is usually acquired by a church and not a user. Therefore the license number should probably be a setting on the "presentation group" and shared across all users of the presentation group and automatically populated into songs in presentations created under that presentation group, with some way to override the default fo the inevitable special cases.

Does that make sense?

Jason

Hi Jason

Yes - makes sense to me.

And sounds similar to what Scott was suggesting above.
