When the Build Book process encounters a particular type of character string, it incorrectly interprets the string as a bible book abbreviation and gives a bible reference hyperlink where there should not be any and the incorrect text is output.

One example of this follows

his dear Son:”

what is output follows

his dear Song of Solomon

where Song of Solomom is a bible reference hyperlink and it should not be. what should be output is simply the input text - his dear Son:" what appears to trigger this error is the 2 character string :"

A second example follows -

1 Co 15:10 (KJV) "But by the grace of God I am what I am:"

is output as

1 Co 15:10 (KJV) "But by the grace of God I am what I Amos

and AMOS is a bible reference hyperlink.

I have, some time ago, identified this issue in the forums and it has NOT been resolved, as you can see. I hope my explanation is clear to your understanding the problem. I have also seen the 2 character sequence :' cause the same problem. This is a problem I beleive needs to be addressed by those who maintain the Personal Books software. Please help get this error fixed as I have waited a long time for a fix that has not happened. Thanks!

Thanks for the bug report; I've filed a case for this.

Sorry that we missed your post on the General forum. (A bug report is more likely to be noticed if you post it in the forum specific to your product: Logos 4 Windows, Logos 4 Mac, iPhone/iPad, etc.)

Brandy,

Thanks for filing the case and thanks for your advise.

Is filing a case something I can do myself?
