I want to be in such a group for five reasons:

1.       To learn and share how Logos can used to best advantage in the study of the gospels.

2.       To identify where needed resources and tools are missing from Logo ( e.g., a synoptic or Q reverse interlinear or “essential” books on the question "Did Jesus claim to be the Messiah?")

3.       Where missing resources can be supplied through user efforts (e.g., PBs, Passage or Reading Lists), to share the burden of development.

4.       Where missing resources need Logos development, to maximize the effect of suggestions (e.g., minimize diffusing the request for a resource on the Olivet discourse by suggesting different books; maximize the impact by each giving a thumb's up at the same time to the consensus suggestion).

5.       To share the process of discovery with people with similar interests.

In 2009 a Logos 4 Studying the Synoptic Gospels group was formed using Google Wave. Does anyone know if this group is still active?

If it is not, would anyone be interested in forming such a group?

Google waves are no longer editable, so the group probably either died or moved on to another service.

I would be interested in this venture. What service do you plan to use to organize this?

Dennis Parish:
1.       To learn and share how Logos can used to best advantage in the study of the gospels.

Questions about best use of Logos Bible Software have option for forum thread discussions.  For Logos 4, could post in one of: Logos 4 Mac , Logos 4 Windows, or General forums.

Dennis Parish:
2.       To identify where needed resources and tools are missing from Logo ( e.g., a synoptic or Q reverse interlinear or “essential” books on the question "Did Jesus claim to be the Messiah?")

For resource discussion, can use General forum.  Several Logos users have libraries with thousands of resources.

By the way searching Logos.com for Jesus Messiah finds 173 results => http://www.logos.com/products/search?q=jesus+messiah while Vryso has 9 results => http://vyrso.com/products/search?q=jesus+messiah

3.       Where missing resources can be supplied through user efforts (e.g., PBs, Passage or Reading Lists), to share the burden of development.

May want to inquire if resource exists before developing.  Wiki has => User Contributed Personal Books  Also I'm aware of many reading lists.

Yes in Suggestions forum

By the way, a search for Olivet Discourse finds 9 Logos resources => http://www.logos.com/products/search?q=olivet+discourse and 1 Vyrso resource => http://vyrso.com/products/search?q=olivet+discourse

Dennis Parish:

... If it is not, would anyone be interested in forming such a group?

One possibility is starting a Logos group => https://www.logos.com/user/groups , knowing sharing of notes and highlighting between group members is planned.

Thankful for Bradley Grainger 's reply on 19 Jan 2012 => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/43997/327507.aspx#327507 that includes:

Bradley Grainger:

  • We plan to allow sharing of Notes & Highlights between users; you will be able to share an entire Notes document at once. You may wish to organise your highlights thematically to allow easy sharing. For example, you might create one Notes Document called "Eschatology" and put highlights from dozens of different resources in it. You might then have another Notes Document (on a different topic) with different (and maybe even overlapping) highlights from those same resources.

Are Logos groups usable right now? I can't seem to do anything with them.

Right now it seems you can only create groups and add members to them. Based on what has been said about them in the past, Groups are a part of what the larger vision is for sharing, collaboration, etc
