KJV & NKJV Search Crash Repeatable in 4.5a Beta 3 and 4
If I bible search in KJV or NKJV for any word, logos crashes. This occurs in 4.5a Beta 3 and 4. If I choose "top bibles" no crash, if I choose NET bible no crash. This happens on two different machines as well.

Just tried your search for "eye" in KJV (LLS:KJV1900 | 2011-03-23T18:18:49Z | KJV1900.logos4 - KJV 1900 with reverse interlinear), and it works just fine. NKJV (LLS:1.0.30 | 2011-03-23T18:56:18Z | NKJV.logos4 NKJV with reverse interlinear), also works without problems.
Would you check the version numbers, in case that's the issue.

Okay, good. That means we're talking about the same files.
Well, not so good, it means the problem isn't the files, but something with your system. The best chance to solve this is to post some logs.
Please enable logging by carefully following all the instructions in the link below:

Then run Logos and see if you can repeat the issue that caused the crash. Make sure to post all the log and txt files here for review. Here are the Wiki instructions for how to upload logs.

The "Rebuild Index" process has fixed the problem. "Rebuild Bible Index" did not work.

Ooops..Spoke too soon. The NKJV worked after the Rebuild Index, but the KJV still crashes.

I cannot reproduce with your simple query for "Eye". Two things to try:-
- Delete KJV1900.logos4, KJV1900NT.lbsrvi, KJV1900OT.lbsrvi from \Resources folder, restart L4 and run the search after the download & index (let me know if it does not index).
If that does not work then:
- Delete the bible index folder C:\Users\Peter Cellini\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\random_userId\BibleIndex and restart L4. Run the search after the indexing completes.

Just another Anomaly, when I choose "All Bibles" the query works and hits on the KJV. Only when the KJV is the target does it crash.

I can't reproduce this problem.
Please provide the following additional diagnostics:
1) A copy of the "Support Info" (at the bottom) in the KJV1900 Info screen.
2) A screenshot of a successful "Verses" search for "eye" in the KJV1900. (You may need to search a different Bible first, then change the search to Verses, then change the Bible to KJV1900.)

Here is another crash from strong # search.
If I perform the identical search on the whole library, it works. Whenever I perform Bible search, it crashes.

If you're experiencing this crash, could you please post both of the following files to this thread?
- %LOCALAPPDATA%\Logos4\Data\RANDOM\BibleIndex\LibraryIndex.db
- %LOCALAPPDATA%\Logos4\Data\RANDOM\PersonalBookIndex\LibraryIndex.db

This issue should be resolved by updating to Beta 6 when it ships. For the users experiencing this crash, please let us know if you are still seeing a crash in the same spot after updating.
