For example, today I noticed that Biblical Performance Criticism Series (4 vols.) and New Covenant Commentary Series (4 vols.), which showed up newly as of today, were listed further down the pre-pubs list (sorted by Newest) than Catechism of the Catholic Church, which showed up yesterday.
It would be nice to have the Newest sort order be a reliable way to see what's new since the last time you caught up. There have been numerous times in the past where I missed a pre-pub until long after it had been available, simply because it showed up out of order. I'd hate to miss one altogether because of this issue.

Catchism of the Catholic Church shows at the top of the list because its status changed to "Under Contract" yesterday. When the status changes, the title gets bumped to the top of the list. This is how Community Pricing products get to the top of the list when they move to Pre-Pub. However, it seems like we should ignore the transition between Pre-Pub/Gathering Interest and Pre-Pub/Under Contract.

Thanks for the quick response.

Yup, I think that would solve this.

OK, this is annoying. It happened again, and it doesn't have anything to do this time with things changing status to "Under Contract" -- I wouldn't have found about about these new pre-pub items showing up if someone hadn't posted a link to one of them, because they were on the second page of results, after a whole bunch of Zondervan collections and stuff that had been announced over a week ago and was already "Under Development"

The Pre-Pub page sorts by the SKU order unless we manually override it. In this case, we failed to override it, which is why you didn’t see the products in the order they were posted. We’ve fixed the error, and everything should be displaying properly.
Here we go again. Two new prepubs have just been added halfway down the prepub page. And it's the same in the RSS feed, they show up way down -- and claim to have been added March 6th!:
And that is after I've had to switch over to the actual prepub feed page. On my normal page with all my feeds I'd have to scan several pages with hundreds of posts in order to find them.

And again:
According to the RSS feed Bonhoeffer was added March 19th. In reality, he was added today.
Lots of people only scroll down to where they see something they recognize -- I used to be one of them -- so anything added below that will be missed. That means people miss the prepub price, Logos misses sales, and resources take longer to go into production.

Jani, this keeps happening. I understand that the default sort order is SKU order, and that requires you to manually override each time. And human error means this override has been forgotten several times. I wonder if that default sort order really is what it should be? It seems that "newest" should be the default sort order when "newest" is selected. Could you please ask the web developers to look into it? Or if it's a matter of really needing to do some manual override process each time a new pre-pub is offered, could you see if there is some way to put that on a checklist so it is part of standard procedure and not easily forgotten? Thanks!
A request was sent to the developers about a week ago so that the process can be automated and the human error can be avoided. In the meantime, we'll do our best to make sure that the products are posted in the right order.

Thanks! That sounds great.
