Multiscreen Syntax Search bug

Attached is a screenshot of a bug I found doing syntax searches. I got this by trying to do a new syntax search in an external window on an additional monitor. When I click on the initial + this is what happens. If I drag the window to the primary monitor it works properly immediately. I am running L4M 4.5 SR5.

Tim see this thread here .

Hopefully the devs will pick up on this post and ask for additional info.  Those of us who are experiencing this behavior (apparently not many) certainly would like it resolved.  You are experiencing this with an external monitor while I (can't speak for the others) haven't used one at any time.  Who knows your situation may hold the answer for this.

    All the best,

    Lauren

I too get problems like this only on an external monitor. Though my problem has to do with the menus modifying where the search will happen (ie. all passages, or bible version, etc). Other I've also noticed that my visual filter toggle doesn't work on external monitors.

This should be resolved in 4.5a.  Please let us know if this continues to be an issue once you have updated.

Tonya, I was excited and hoping that 4.5a would fix this, but alas my hopes were for naught. I have updated to 4.5a but with a syntax search on an external monitor, clicking on ANY +  will still bring up the empty white box. Simply dragging the screen to the main monitor and doing it again still makes the + bring up the normal anticipated options. If you aren't the one fixing this, please break it to the developer gently that this is still in need of further work. ;-)

Tim, I wasn't able to reproduce the issue using an external monitor on my Mac.  What sort of monitor are you using?  How is it hooked up to your Mac?  It might also be important to know what OS you are using.

Tonya, I have a 2011 27" iMac running 10.7.3. I have 2 external monitors attached using apple brand mini-display--> vga adapters. One is an old sync master 1911 the other an old Xerox 17". They are configured in a x X x configuration with all portrait orientations. I have tried this with the window on either monitor and it does not work whether left or right.I cannot think of anything else you might need to know, but please let me know if there is.

This issue should be fixed in 4.5b Beta 4 for beta users and for stable users when 4.5b ships to the stable channel.  Please let us know if you continue to experience this issue after updating.

This issue should be fixed in 4.5b Beta 4

Had not tried Syntax Search on an external display previously, but everything seems to work correctly in 4.5b Beta 4
