My Libronix 3 application stopped working sometime over the last month. I am using Windows 7 with IE8. The splash screen starts and then goes away and then nothing happens. I was using 3.0g. I uninstalled it or so I thought but under Programs and Features it stll shows it as installed althought not with the normal red icon but a generic one. I cannot uninstall it.
I tried downloading it from the Logos sitet and installing it but it stops part way through the installation with a windows error #1722 indication that there was a problem removing a file.
Is there a way to manually uninstall all the files or is there a cleanup application that can be used in order that I can do a clean install?
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
P.S.
I tried the instructions mention here http://www.logos.com/ArticleViewer/533 but found none of the files listed.

Wonder if Download link works ?
Logos has Libronix Support articles => http://www.logos.com/L3/support/windows
Curious if Internet Explorer 9 has been installed ? (security update) If so, a patch is needed => Libronix and Internet Explorer 9

Rev Michael ... judging from what you wrote (and I could easily be wrong):
- I'm guessing you uninstalled while the background Libronix library was still running? That would account for the partial uninstall
- I'm also assuming you've re-booted to release the files? Even so, I'd doubt the Libronix install would do very sophisticated clean up on a previous install.
- CCLeaner (google; easy to download) does a good job on cleaning up your registry and miscellaneous files left behind. When you run it, the registry cleaner is in the menu on the left. Make a registry backup first.
But frankly, are you sure you want to continue running Libronix? Logos4 is free, gets considerable attention from the company (and forum), and will be receiving the various new features. Libronix vs Microsoft updates is like a little rabbit sitting out in front of a rifle range. Poor thing is not long for this world.
I personnally run Libronix almost exclusively, though I also run Logos4 for research. But I keep Libronix on a VirtualPC where there's no updates, etc to screw it up. My Libronix implementation outside the VirtualPC is limpling along, but I don't give it too many odds of survival.
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately still had the same problem. Logos tech support noted that my Windows 7 system was a 64 bit system and suggested the following:
Hello Michale,
If you get a 1722 or 1721 error follow the steps here http://www.logos.com/support/article/643. In step 1 make sure you use the 64bit version.
