Logos 4.5b Beta 2 - Library Prioritize Buggy

Opened Logos 4.5b Beta 2 Library on my 27" iMac to show priorities (using a layout with Library maximized within Logos window).  The prioritized list was jumpy on screen (about half a letter up and down).  Tried to scroll to bottom of my prioritized list, however last 11 items in my prioritized list would not show on screen.

Looking at Logos 4.5b Beta 2 on Windows was perplexed to see sync arrows spinning.  Opening library and trying to scroll priorities was an exercise in futility.  Looking in Logos4.log file, found lots of resource priority sync messages.

Puzzled: was trying to scroll to bottom of my prioritized list to show calendar devotionals for home page; was not trying to change any priorities, yet know one resource priority was changed (calendar devotional that would not display on Mac).  Hence this bug report.

Opened Logos 4.5b Beta 2 to Home Page, then used command + L to open Library, scrolling down had garbled text for awhile:

Also could not scroll to bottom of my prioritized list; last 11 items could not be displayed (one item has advanced prioritization).

There is an open case for text overlap issues in the Library panel.  I'll add a link to this thread to that case.

Text overlap visually appears on screen.

Jumpiness of Library prioritize varies with Library window size; changing window vertical size causes jumpiness to get worse or quit.

Using Logos 4.5b Beta 4, cannot scroll to bottom of list: 10 prioritized items are not visible on screen.  Personally puzzled by Logos 4.5b Beta 4 syncing library resource priorities while trying to scroll prioritize list.

  • Using Logos 4.5b Release Candidate 2, was able to replicate this regression while replying thread => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/48970/362803.aspx#362803

Looking in Logos4.log, noticed jumpiness went away after all my Library priorities had finished sync upload,

Personally a bit puzzled by syncing all library priorities when using Magic trackpad to scroll list, which was jumpy and had font overlay issues as previously reported.  Caveat: after initial sync completed, accidentally dragged a resource while trying to capture a screen shot (then dragged resource back to its place in my priorities).

Using Logos 4.5b (4.52.0.2176) on Mac OS X 10.6.8, learned opening to a blank layout, then opening Library in a floating window has more text display issues in prioritize list (scrolling while syncing), but can scroll to the bottom.  If wait for all resource priorities to sync, then slow scrolling with Magic Trackpad looks OK.

Using Logos 4.5b SR-1 (4.52.0.2914), can replicate scrolling of library priorities causes them to be synced.  While sync is in progress, visible display of prioritized titles becomes a bit hard to read:

Thankful for Logos 4.5b SR-1 library prioritize improvement that allows scroll to last prioritized resource. [8-|]

Workaround for hard to read priorities is scroll to the top of the list, then slowly scroll down.

Thankful can use Logos 4.5b SR-1 on Mac to prioritize resources once sync has completed. [8-|]

Wow.  I can see how that might be slightly difficult to decipher. [:P] There is a separate active case for this issue; I've added a few more details to it based on your findings.  Thanks!

    Follow-up attempt after reading Logos 4.5b SR-2

    • Fixed bug that prevented scrolling in the Prioritize pane.

shows scrolling priorities in Logos 4.5b SR-2 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 with Magic Trackpad while syncing priorities has areas that are a bit challenging to read:

    image

After priorities compete sync, can scroll to top of priority list, then scroll down (and up) using Magic Trackpad.

Logos 4.5c Beta 1 has similar readability issue, however syncing seems quicker for workaround to be effective:

Noticed Logos 4.5c Beta 1 does not sync library priorities while scrolling (did have a number of other items to sync).
