Software for Screen Mark-Ups

What is the best software to use for marking up the screen? If I wanted to project my Logos SW for say... S.S. and be able to mark on the screen, what SW should I use? Is there any decent free SW that will do this?
Thank you for your help!

Yes I know... but it doesn't "stick" if I want to move things around. (or is that still the case?)

Thomas,
If Logos would impliment:
- Variable line width
- Variable line type
- Shapes
- Highlighting
Then it would be amazing and there'd be no need to go to a 3rd party software...
that would even make my buy a graphics tablet if they did that...

when there... seen this...
Some our users reported that Virtual Board is Malicious. You can download it at your own risk from the Frederic Bellec homepage
do you use that SW Robert? If so, I'll download it. I appreciate you posting. I really need something that works well and will give me "box" options and the like.
Thank You!

I have used it on and off...I've not had a graphics tablet in a long time so I tend not to use it.
It's also not the most "intuitive" software on the planet..
PS: I don't think it "installs" its a standalone...

Look what Philip Spitzer did here http://community.logos.com/forums/p/4554/36398.aspx#36398
that is what I'd like to be able to do on screen. Sent him a FBmail and was hoping to find out where I could get a program that will do those things.

Jeremiah,
What Philip did there is not a presentation "markup" program but something like Windows (Vista, 7) Snippet program. Other programs, like Snagit, have exactly what you're looking to do...but it is not something you can work directly within your Logos Bible program.

That would tempt me to go out and buy a tablet to use as well (even use our mobile projector for house to house studies).

Well I don't want it to work "with" Logos ness. Just work "over" it so I can mark up the screen over the program not ness. "in" the program. With that Snagit do the job?

Snag it would take a snapshot of the screen you want (in this case a pic of your Logos layout)...then bring it into Snagit to make the markups accordingly. That is also the way the other 3rd party programs of this nature work. I don't know of a program that works "over" another program.

Check out another program then from sysinternals (Microsoft). It's called ZoomIT. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897434.aspx

And a free one called "Presentation assistant lite"

To clarify: zoomit is free, as are all the powerful sysinternals tools.

Hi Thomas,
Thomas Black said:Logos 4 has a built in presenters mode! Click the F8 button to experience it.
Thanks for the tip, though my "experience" wasn't positive... I couldn't figure out how to get it to quit & ended up having to start the taskbar & kill L4. I'm sure that isn't the preferred way of turning it off. And since it was ready to mark up ANYTHING in every other window, I HAD to get it turned off...
None of the function keys worked to turn it off (including F8). Nor did Esc, ctrl-Q. or any of the other usual suspects.
?
EDIT: the 2nd time I tried it, Esc did work. Problem solved... Weird, that 1st try, though!
Grace & Peace,

Yes. Once when I Alt-Tabbed to another program while in the "presenters mode", Logos got confused and I couldn't get out of the mode either.

Jeremiah if you are willing to pay Click Tricks is great. This is what Morris Proctor uses in his seminars. He has it for sale on his web site. $50

You can always use a Sharpie on your physical projection screen. But those screens get kinda expensive.
The built in software is OK, but not perfect. If you have the steady hand of an artist, you'll be fine. But when I highlight, it looks like a 3-year-old got ahold of the marker set.
Ideal- project Logos on a Smartboard where your laser pointer will highlight things. Expensive.

This one looks like what I'm looking for, althought not free, it does have a 30 day trial period.
Thank you all!!!
I am going to look into that one on Morris' site also (a bit too expensive IMO)

Ahhh yes the smartboard.... putting that on my Christmas list for 2015... lol
We actually just bought our first projector a couple of months ago... its been a bit of a trial on getting everyone on board for that.... We are Baptist after all...

Mac Users can use the free OmniDazzle by Omnigroup for marking up a live presentation.
For marking up screen shots on a Mac, the free Skitch by Plasq is hard to beat.

Pastor,
You should probably create a new thread with your request in the title...it would stand a better chance of getting seen than this three-year-old thread.

I don't think there is any help or tutorial available other than whatever comes on the CD with the software (if anything). I recall installing it on my old computer and playing around with it a bit and figuring out the various options through fiddling with the menus. Sorry I can't be of more help.
