HI all,

I am having a problem on my new machine with first time indexing (never had a problem before). I have attached the log files for the indexer, is anyone able to point me towards a solution please?

Thanks

Paul

I just purchased two IBM win7 and loaded L4 on them, had the same problem. I rebooted and then started L4 and let it run to the end...then everything was fine. oh make sure you do the 'update now' in the command line...]I prefer to use my own text in these, but will just as soon as I get ms-wrd loaded[

Curious about hardware in new machine, especially CPU ?  Thread => indexing bug includes an affinity workaround for AMD CPU's, which was included in 4.3 SR-1 (not know if 4.5a SR-1 has a regression).

Also wonder about Logos4Indexer.log file; wiki has http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

Since using stable Logos 4.5a SR-1 release, have option to contact Logos Tech Support => http://www.logos.com/about/contact

Thanks for the replies. I am already entirely up to date with the current release version. The processor is a Intel Core i5 processor 750 @ 2.67Ghz. I have attached the indexer log - I'm not sure if that shows you anything helpful!

Concur previously posted crash files show current stable Logos 4.5a SR-1 release.  The Logos4Indexer.log file dates back to February when an earlier release had diagnostic logging enabled.

One option is enabling diagnostic logging (could delete old files in Logos Log Files folder), restart computer, watch for indexer icon to appear.  After indexer icon goes away, open Logos4Indexer.log file.  If indexing was successful, the last line should include "Application Done."  If last line is different, then reply and attach Logos4Indexer.log for review/suggestions by Logos users and employees.

Other option is contacting Logos Tech Support => http://www.logos.com/about/contact

Noticed errors in Logos4Indexer.log:

  • "The two postings (T=65, D=103, O=303015, W=48631) and (T=65, D=103, O=4446071, W=18943) have conflicting character and word offsets. "
  • "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. " (possibly a lexicon)

Suggest contacting Logos Tech support => http://www.logos.com/about/contact (could email with reference to this thread or call)
