Window 8 and Logos 4?

Having not purchased an iPad yet for reading my Logos books I am quite fascinated about the possibilities presented by the Windows 8 Hyprid Unltrabook presents to Logos users. Although in Tablet mode it appears that these will be a bit on the hefty size (but still under 2 pounds which is less than a lot of larger hardbound books), the laptop configuration is superior for some reading situations. I have noticed quite a few iPad users have purchased stand to prop their iPads up when reading at a table, a laptop of course has the “stand” built in! To be honest there are lots of reading situations that I enjoy reading my Logos book on current my laptop, the only thing I dislike about it is the weight of my 17 inch monster!

What really gets me excited however is the idea that it will run on a full version of windows and consequently can run the full version of Logos, not a dumb down mobile version. However, does anyone know how well Logos 4 runs on Windows 8?

Is that a tablet, or laptop? Windows 8 on Arm tablets won't run normal windows apps.

These hyprid's will have the new Intel chips and chip sets. They should be about the size and weight of a Macbook Air.

The 13.3" MacBook Air model has a screen resolution of 1440 x 900. Reading rumors about MacBook Air model refresh soonish (few weeks ?), which should include price drop for older refurbished MacBook Air models. Also reading about a replacement for 15" MacBook Pro.

Caveat: MacBook Air battery life is noticeably shorter than an iPad; anticipating a Windows 8 hybrid tablet to have similar ultrabook battery life.

Edit: personally dreaming of a MacBook Air with touch screen (similar to hybrid tablet).

I did just put Windows 8 on my CR-48, and went ahead and installed Logos on it (I put in a bigger SSD). It actually seems to run okay, and the hardware on the Chromebook is absolutely way below anything they will sell on a Windows 8 tablet device. The only caveat will be to make sure it's an Intel tablet, not an ARM since I don't believe the ARM devices will run legacy Windows software (could be wrong on that). That said, I doubt I'll pick up another iPad in favor of waiting for a good solid Windows 8 tablet.
