According to videos and reading I understand that I should be able to type a bible reference in my Note outline and the type should turn blue and become a link to the reference in my bible.  I understand that Logos only recognizes appropriate references (e.g., Jn 1:1 is good, JN 1:1 is not).  This does not work for me on my Macbook Pro.  I do have the latest version downloaded and installed.  It has never worked with any of the versions 4.  I am able to Link to the verse or passage by selecting them and right clicking within the resources.  Any thoughts on why typing the reference directly in the Notes outline does not automatically link to reference?

Thanks in advance.....

I also learned that adding a hyperlink to a webpage does not work.  After highlighting note text to link from and then pasting the hyperlink and hitting the Enter button the highlighted text does turn blue but clicking (including ctrl + click) does nothing and attempting to right click and selecting "Open Link" also does nothing.  Maybe the Mac version is just that far behind the Windows version.

Wiki Mac and PC User Interface Differences has => Feature Parity that includes:

  • PC Notes can automatically hyperlink scripture in notes while hyperlink can be manually added on Mac
    • Logos: We presently use operating system controls for rich text editing on each platform. The functionality is not the same on each, and we are unable to hook in at a low level to enable all the desired features on the Mac platform. Our long term plan is to replace the OS provided rich text editor with our own component, but until then we are unlikely to be able to advance the text editing features beyond their current state.

Wonder about command + click on blue text ?

Wiki Getting Started with Logos has => Learning Logos that includes:

Tip: PC control key often becomes command key on Mac.

Sorry - I did mean to say "command" key and not ctrl key.  Does not work with Command + click.  Thanks for the response though.

After manually adding hyperlink, personally waited for pop-up to appear:

Using Logos 4.5b Beta 7 on Mac OS X 10.6.8, was able to use Cmd + Click to follow link to this thread.
