I was looking at a friends wishlist and clicked the "Add to Cart" button, but it seems that it only puts it in for my personal purchase. Is there a way, via the website, to purchase a book for someone else that is on their wish list?

My first question is How did you access u'r friends wish list since they are user specific? If you used their login then you were not doing anything underhanded other then using their login....

If you want to buy them a book you need to call sales and do it over the phone....it cannnot be done via the net - unless you do it under your friends login.....at least thats how I have done it in the past....

You can make any wishlist public and it shows up under your profile:

I used "username" too loosely: it comes from your public profile settings.
