4.5c Beta 1 (4.53.0.2050) is available for testing.

To update to Beta 1, enter the Update Now command if you’ve switched to the beta channel before, or enter the Set Update Channel to Beta command if you’re on a stable version (such as 4.5b SR-1). To install Beta 1 from scratch, see the notes and download link on this thread.

Feature Parity Describes multiple 4.5b regressions in L4 Mac, but they do not seem to be addressed in this release. So far, Logos has stubbornly refused to even acknowledge most of them. Does Logos intend to address these, of are we Mac users expected to resign ourselves to second-class status?

I will continue to post this question until someone at Logos becomes irritated enough to address our concerns.

I believe the answer is found in the quality of the Mac releases up till now, starting with the first one that was declared release ready. As someone who goes back and forth between the Windows and Mac versions, the experience is quite different.

I've posted a comment over at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/49846/368542.aspx#368542. Short answer is that we are working on addressing your concerns and want you to know we do not think of Mac as a second-class citizen. One thing I didn't mention over in the other post is that we have more Mac developers on the desktop product than we do Windows developers.

We have been analyzing what caused these regressions and it looks like some of the preparatory work that was being done for the UI changes (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/49846.aspx) caused some of the problems. I apologize that we didn't catch them sooner, the upcoming 4.5c releases will be focused on fixing as many of these issues as we can and getting it stable so all users can have a better Mac product.

There are some outstanding automated regression testing tools in the market. I just don't understand.

Logos could easily diminish that perception by at least acknowledging bug reports. For the last few weeks the only possible most logical impression was that we were being ignored.

Call me weird, reckless, even foolish. But I am updating to 4.5c Beta Big Smile

As I mentioned in another thread, some people get an adrenalin rush by leaping off high bridges with a rubber band attached to their ankles. I get mine by participating in the L4 Mac Beta program Geeked

If we had been informed sooner, my posts would have been less irritating. Cool

You should create a new thread with the prefix BUG:
