Bible Tag API questions

1. Is there a way to make the Bible reference returned to be the "long" version and not the "query" version in the tag when you're doing a "bibleref" format?

2. If you can't get the "long" version when you're doing the "bibleref" format then what are the Bible book abbreviations used? Is there a list of all the 66 books' abbreviations so my database can easily look up that info for tagged Bible references?

Hi Andrew,

 

The bibleref format is just a predefined hard-coded format, but you can use the same pattern and just replace the query format with long.

<cite+class="bibleref"+title="{long}">{text}</cite>

For example:

http://api.biblia.com/v1/bible/tag?key=fd37d8f28e95d3be8cb4fbc37e15e18e&text=Look+up+Gen+3:4&tagFormat=%3Ccite+class=%22bibleref%22+title=%22{long}%22%3E{text}%3C/cite%3E
