Can the Faithlife Shared notes be opened as a note file like all the other notes? Or can they only be seen in the text?

AFAIK, the "Faithife Shared notes" (a.k.a. Community Notes) can not be opened as a note file, since they are no file. Actually they reside in the cloud on a server. Technically, if I remember correct, they are presented in L4 in a reduced-functionality browser window. I don't know if they are synced to the local machine at all, or if they are gone without internet connectivity.

Users have requested the opportunity to convert them into local notes or make some other sort of backup, but so far there is no such functionality. Maybe in L5...

In addition to "in the text" they can be seen together on Faithlife.com in the respective group in a separate tab. You may sort the display per "most recent" and "per book", which sorts the notes inside the book as well. This is very helpful, I think.

I take noted during our service and during our followup after on my iPad directly in a specific note file. If a lesson goes 5 weeks, then I have all the notes, including discussion comments, in a single file. I thought it would be nice to be able to share this directly to faithlife. But it looks that this is not possible. Thanks.

The Community notes have been explicitly created for sharing. The current implementation brings some restrictions, such as the maximum length per note (I think 1000 characters) and no formatting options I know of. The point is that others can reply to your notes.

So if you rather have something like a book with all of the info nicely laid out and structured etc., you may put all your notes into a word docx file and share it with your group, then everybody can make their own PB, but interacting will be restricted.

On the other hand, if you use Community Notes you attach them to the respective scripture (or other book) and everybody has them present when they look up this book in their Logos or biblia. They can interact with these and make their own Community Notes, putting their thoughts or questions in. The Community notes will be with these people as long as they are members of the group.

Maybe it's a good idea if you join an active group, e.g. Faithlife Beta, and try the functionality for yourself
