Why is it that every time I add the title of a song on a separate slide I cannot control the color of the text on that slide?  I have tried every way possible, I know, to change the color but always have it display black.

Gregory, this is a bug on Mac. I have reported it to development. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Sorry Gregory, my mistake. This is NOT a bug, but the UI can be a little confusing (I was thrown off as well).

When you go into the Customize view, you want to make sure you are customizing "Title" and not "Song". The "Title" tab customizes the title when it appears on a different slide (the Title slide, as you indicated in your post). The "Song" tab customizes the title when it appears on a regular song lyrics slide.

Once you switch to the Title view to customize, you should be able to see your changes (font, color, etc.) reflected in your presentation.

I apologize for the confusion.
