BUG: Repeatable crash in L5 (1820)
I have restarted Logos 5 and I have rebooted the computer several times but this is repeatable on my machine.
1. Open Sermon starter Guide
2. Type Rev 22.1-5 in the inbox
3. Click on the option "Health and Healing" in the drop down list
4. Logos 5 is crashing.
Some times the list in the panel starts to populate before crash and sometimes not.

Not repeatable on Windows 7. Definitely need some logs.
Please enable Logging ( wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging ) and upload your logs ( wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs ) so we can take a look.
Thanks.

A few of these logs are from March of 2012.
However "Object reference is not set to the instance of an object" is the error you're dealing with.
Is indexing complete?

Indexing is completed.

Can you repeat the crash and post the Logos 5 log? Here is a link to instructions: Logos 5 Diagnostic Logging for Windows - Logos Bible Software

I think this crash may be caused by running with the Swedish UI; does it still occur if you set your language back to English?

You are right! It does not occur after changing to english UI. The swedish UI is from Logos 4. Will this be solved with a "new" translation file?
Something is wrong with the print dialog as well. This is not dependent of the UI. Select printing in portrait format will print in landscape. Select landscape will print in portrait.

There is currently a case for this issue. I have added a link to this thread to that case.

I am unable to reproduce this issue. What operating system are you using?

Does this error occur for you in the Print/Export panel? As in, does the display look like Landscape when the Portrait option is selected?
Or, does the Print/Export panel look fine, and the error occurs when you actually send the document to the printer?
If possible, could you post some screen shots? They would be very helpful.

The Print/Export panel looks fine.
Portrait:
Landscape:
The error occurs when the document is sent to the printer. Page #1 in the following pdf is formated as a landscape print but is print out in portrait mode with truncated lines to the right and the export notes from Logos not in bottom of page.
Page #2 is formatted as in portrait mode but is printed as landscape. Wide margin to the right and the print export notes form Logos does not print out.
The paper selected and printed to is standard format in Sweden.

This is litle strange. I don't use to print out at home but now I have done a test print out on an Canon Inkjet MP970 at home. There was no issues. Everything looks fine.
In church we use a Toshiba e351c. A haven't had any issues with the Toshiba in any other application. What do you think?

I'm not sure what is going on, you are right it is strange.
I have passed a report on this issue on to Development.

Ebbe,
When you printed from your work computer, were you able to reproduce the problem by printing to a PDF? Or did you actually print with the Toshiba printer, and then scan the pages back into the computer and saved them as a PDF?

Yes, I print with the Toshiba and then scan the pages and save them to pdf.
This error remains in beta 2.

After todays update to Beta 2 Sermon Guide is working in Rev 22:1-5 with Swedish UI. Thank you!
(Sorry for starting up two "cases" in the same thread)

Are you using the same Windows 8 computer with both printers, or are you using two different computers as well?

This was fixed in 5.0a Beta 2 for beta users, and will be fixed in general when 5.0a ships to the stable channel.
