BUG: Logos 5 crashes at a particular point in BHRG
I was reading in BHRG and everytime I get this far (see the picture below), Logos 5 crashes. I can't read any further. I have not observed this with other resources so far.
I toyed around a bit and found out this interesting fact: when I enter 47.2.1 or 47.2.1.a manually into the reference box to try to access the section in question, it crashes. However, if I enter 47.2.1.b (or the following letters), it does not crash...

I can;t reproduce on Windows so we need some logs --> http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging (note how to upload them e.g. logos.log).
What Hebrew font do you use + Default resource font?

I can duplicate this bug, and with 5.0a beta 2 as well. Here are my logs..

I think it is trying to load a Visual Filter - what do you have for this resource or collection that includes it?

Good analysis Dave, it is the Popular Highlights Visual Filter. I bring up BHRG, turn it off, and I can scroll down to the offending area with no problem. I scroll back up, close BHRG, reopen it, turn on Popular Highlights, and scroll down, boom! Crash.
I know this is new to 5.0, is it some sort of community visual filter? I searched and could not find anything that describes what it actually is/does.
For now I can turn it off everywhere.

Turning it off seems to have made a positive difference for me as well.

Dominick - they've add a bunch of new "popular features." For example, there are "Popular Tags" where, if you don't tag a resource, you can see what the average community tagging looks like. Looks like you may have found another one?

I think this may have occurred because I opened BDB. I right-clicked on popular highlights and selected "do not show in any resources". Hopefully that will solve it.

Bummer! I crashed AGAIN!!!!!!!!

If you are sure Popular Highlights is turned off, turn off all other filters in BDB and see if it repeats. We'll see what Dave says about your logs.

I changed the font from Ezra Sil to SBL Hebrew and crashed again. Then I switched from BHS 4.2 to BHSMTE and I have not crashed since.

The crash occurred after you closed BDB but it appears to be connected to this "Popular Highlights" Visual Filter; which I don't have. Does it appear in the Documents menu or only in the resource's Visual Filters menu?

The filter appears to be connected with BHS 4.2, BDB & NET bible as well as BHRG.

Where are you seeing these "Popular Tags"?

This issue should be fixed in 5.0a Release Candidate 1 for beta users, and in general when 5.0a ships to the stable channel.

In the resource information panel, right under where you add a tag. If you hover over one it will tell you how many users use that tag. You may have found them by now, but for anyone who reads this and is curious.Dave Hooton said:Where are you seeing these "Popular Tags"?

I'm curious - where do you find "Popular Highlights Visual Filter" and how do you turn it on and off?

Yea, I looked there, but didn't see it. I'm on the latest (RC1) beta, so I guess I missed it.
Thank you, Francis.
