In the release notes for Logos 5.0a it says

I have tried highlighting the desired verse and also having the desired starting verse opened in a Bible, but when I click Memorize, both the quiz and the practice modes begin with the first list in the passage.
What do I need to do in order to "start practice at the currently viewed verse"?
Perhaps I have found the answer to my question.
After turning to the Memorize tab/view, there are little gray triangles that allow you to switch between verses. Using these, you can choose a verse with which to start your practice session. (see image below).
However, I think it would also be a worthwhile idea to have the practice session open to the currently highlighted passage list entry!
