MAPS DELUXE FAILURE

I have L3  edition.  My library does include maps deluxe, even shows the thumb nails on my iPad.   But when I pick one of the maps, it comes up completely blank, a black screen. That is  Schalor edition.   I see no reason why logos would not fix this.   If logos can display a graphic picture of a book cover, then certainly it should be able to display a graphic image of the maps.

This is an issue with the app and has been reported a couple of times - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/53816/399806.aspx  and http://community.logos.com/forums/p/54211/394670.aspx

It would be good to get an update from Logos as to the status of this

               I've just tried out the Logos Deluxe Map Set on my iPad2, and I get the same sad results as you do!                   So, I'm hoping that Logos will take over this problem from here and perhaps let us poor helpless and hapless users know what's happening!              *smile*

It is my understanding from previous conversations that the issue is a resource specific one.

I think Alabama's point is that there is nothing we can do about this until / if Logos changes the resource for it to work properly on mobile devices.

EDIT: Interestingly the maps seem to open fine on my Android phone when accessing them via the ToC. I don't have my iPad with me at the moment so can't verify it accessing that way works there as well.

Hi Graham!                  Come to think of it ....       I guess what I would appreciate is some kind of acknowledgement from Logos that they are at least aware of the problem.

            However, I just realised that we're talking about the Logos Team being in the Western part of the United States, so if they're up by now, they still haven't probably had time for their coffee from the communal coffee pot!                      *smile*

Peace, Kevin!                  My major need was that you good people had the information you needed - that you knew there was a problem!!                     So, thanks much for sharing this!   (And Alabama also!)

             All I wanted to know was that "it's in the works" and am not that concerned about how much time you need to get it where you want it!            *smile*

At least quit selling the maps until fixed so unsuspecting folks like me won't buy it.  The regular map edition has the same problem.

Angela - Welcome to the forums! Sorry you are having troubles Tongue Tied

Logos Bible Software is primarily a desktop application based system... Although mobile usage has increased dramatically in recent years. This resource works fine on the desktop... so there is no need to stop selling it. Logos has a generous return policy. Give them a call during business hours and you will be taken care of.
