Awesome thank you for the update...

Forgive my ignorance, but is there a way to save the books to the sdCard? If this is done through a WinRT setting I am not finding it, but if it is a future setting for Bible! then I will patiently wait.

Thank You Scott.

Chris~

This is not supported by the current version.

Not to sound needy but its been a month since the last update. I keep checking the store for an update... Its killing me!!! Must have updates!

But in all seriousness I really appreciate the work you guys are doing on this. Using the offline support almost daily, I can't thank you enough. Without it my Surface would be a little less useful.

We're really glad to hear you like the app... but the bad news is that updates won't be as frequent now that 1.0.0.0 is out. We're still waiting to see if Windows tablet UI gets enough traction to warrant a larger investment.

I'll take whatever I can get! 1.0 has most of what I really need on the go anyway. (Notes would be nice, but I am not in any hurry.)

Thanks again.

Just started using the Logos app yesterday. I have an Asus Vivotab Smart (Atom processor w/real Windows 8, not RT). I have also used The Word and e-Sword for many years. I've been "coveting" Logos for quite a while but haven't been able to justify the cost relative to my needs and these other offerings. When I got my tablet I was able to install e-Sword but not happy with the performance and UI experience on a tablet. Considered the Olive Tree Bible+ app but by the time I add up what I would want to purchase as resources the cost is prohibitive (for me). Desperately hoping that this offering will expand/improve.

One immediate question I have is as to whether I can purchase add-ons for the app. For example, I'd like to purchase the NET Bible from Logos but haven't been able to figure out whether this will be added someone to resources available for the app or how to do that. Any guidance would be deeply appreciated.

Regards,

Jim Cakalic

Hi Jim - and welcome to the forums

James Cakalic:
One immediate question I have is as to whether I can purchase add-ons for the app.

You can purchase resources on the Logos website - http://www.logos.com/products- and, assuming the resource are mobile-enabled they will be viewable within your library in the app.

James Cakalic:
For example, I'd like to purchase the NET Bible from Logos but haven't been able to figure out whether this will be added someone to resources available for the app or how to do that

So, as an example, the NET Bible is available and the information on the product page shows it runs on mobile

This is a resource I own and, as you can see, it is available to me in the app

Hope this clarifies things - if not, please post back

As I understand it, he is using the full version of windows on his Windows OS 8 tablet (the same OS running on desktop machines). When you purchase books they generally automatically download within a few minutes of restarting the APP, alternatively you can always enter "Update Now" in the command Bubble next to tools at the top of the Logos window.

True - but I assumed (from the post being in this forum) that the question related to the Windows Store app.

In ether case, the NET resource will be availableSmile

Thanks for the off line support.  Obviously being able to see Bible references in pop up windows will be a great advance.  Looking forward to more features but understand the business decision you are making.

Scott,

Any chance of getting the option to turn off the red text. I dislike it on principle and also find it harder to read.

Thanks

Ken

We have created a case for this. Thanks for the feedback.

I recently bought an Asus VivoTab Smart, partly for the ability to run the desktop version of Logos on a tablet (which seemed pretty cool to me). Having discovered this app, I plan to use it as well - when all I want to do is read one of my Logos resources. I can do that in this app now, but the one thing I'd like to see soon is a table of contents, or something like that, to make it easier to find a specific chapter or section. Otherwise, I can use the desktop software for any serious Bible study.  Make this a good reading app, and I'm golden! Thanks.

The only reason I hung on to my iPad so long was because of the reading plan feature in the Logos app. It's so much easier to read with a tablet than a laptop. I know you can use Biblia on a tablet, but that is clunky and difficult to use with touch, and requires an internet connection.

Can you guys pllllllease add the reading plans to the Windows store app? Just that feature, and then you can call it quits after that, okay? (Insert shameless groveling here. :)

A tough thing. I would never consider buying a Surface or Win8 Metro based tablet w/o good Bible apps, but most Bible software makers are waiting to see if it "gains traction" which means it won't in the Bible community. chicken/egg situation for MS and they should go after devs interested and already invested and offer them incentives to advance their apps to make the tablet compelling.
